This is an interesting situation that potentially applies to a large number of us. I typically always take off my helmet when not riding however over the last year I have gone into a few gas station stores with it on when I didn't have a face mask with me.

I have to wonder if this young guy had been a little more cooperative, maybe he wouldn't have been arrested. All he had to do was answer a few basic questions.
I think I wore a helmet into a gas station once, for the same reason as Nick. The whole time I thought to myself that it probably wasn't the best idea. |

A simple 'I'm very sorry for this misunderstanding and not hearing the manager's requests' from the dude first would have gone a very long way to defusing this totally avoidable situation, esp. given those recent shootings in Walmart. Arrogant passive aggressive Idjit. |

Charges were dropped. That says alot right there. I see no "passive aggressiveness" from dude at all. Walmart manager and 2 of the cops for sure. I guess if you try to explain what you were doing as your being accused that's considered being argumentative? Unbelievable. That's why you stfu with the cops. Give them your id, which by law you are obliged to do, and then stfu.

He Looks like he’s ready to storm the halls of congress...
Had he looked like anyone of us in full gear, no problem.....
And if you ask me, he did this on purpose to make a point. I don’t see too many guys on bikes that look like this.....
Pirates typically wear little to no protective gear.....
AGATT guys typically look way nerdier and would have no problem.
I like him being arrested and the charges dropped...he was a wise ass and a bit of a dick and was sufficiently inconvenienced for the degree of public alarm his appearance probably caused.
And let’s hope the prior mass shooting in the area makes the detention “ reasonable and necessary” so the store ( or cops) isn’t sued. |
