Are these the correct version for a European CB1100F?
Does anyone have a link to a company that does refinishing of mirrors? Or a link to some DIY material? I've been thinking about learning to powder coat. What about cutting and fitting new mirror glass? |

Yes these are the correct ones for the European 1100F, maybe there is someone on the forum who has done it before (cutting the glasses) |

I wonder if there arms and the mirror frame can be separated if the glass is removed. Maybe there is a screw underneath? I'm not sure how the mirrors could be powdercoated otherwise. |

Tom K has re-finnished these mirrors to look like new. He is able to disassemble and powder coat them to a gloss black that looks very close to the original "black chrome"
Cheers!

+1 on TomK.
He's done several sets for me and they all look perfect.
The glass was also used on several other Honda models, I just don't recall which ones. I'll find them at the local breakers and snap them up for $5 or less. |

I believe the mirrors on the Nighthawk 750S are almost identical, except that they're chrome plated. Over the years I've bought several pairs on eBay, then disassembled, blasted, and powder coated to look just like 1100F mirrors. So yes, they can be disassembled, but, it takes a little time and patience to separate the rubber/mirror from the mirror body. If you rush or are too rough, the glass will break. Once the glass is out, they can be totally disassembled with at least 5 pieces per mirror that can be refinished. I've done a couple dozen of these with good results. I use a 90% high gloss black that looks close to the original finish. |
