CB1100R carby question

G'day

A mate recently got a CB1100R that hasn't been on the road for ages and the carbs are pissing fuel from the overflow.

Are the needle and seats on these carbs the same as on other CB models? Or other carby parts for that matter?

I have a couple of sets of carbs sitting around that I was going to give him, but no point if they are different.

I think I remember reading something that carbs from a 900 have something different stamped on them than carbs from an 1100.

Is there somewhere to buy just needle and seats?

Hi Scott,

The carbs on the CB 900 are VB51 , the carbs on the CB1100R are VB53. So the best is to buy sets from keyster.

I'll give him a buzz today and get back to you. (It's 4.15am here so I'll give it a few hours before I ring him)

I am sure that Mike Nixon sell only quality,so maybe better. Only want t say buy good stuff!!

Thanks mate. I tried looking up his web site but I couldn't see anything for CB1100 ( I may have missed it)

But I can't email him because I can't see his email address.

Does anyone have an email address for Mike? I tried calling him today but it went to answering machine.
