Got invited to the Yoshimura open house today for a tour of their facility. They can produce 350 exhausts a day, compared to the japan factory which can only do 60. Met some of the fabricators who loved my exhaust. I talked to some of the fab and sales guys to see if they could make a baffle for my exhaust and they were nice enough to let me into their inventory area to see if any would fit, unfortunately, none do as the 3.5'' can is too big. There is still some hope with some hush hush stuff, so I'll see what comes out of it. But I won a yoshimura pit crew shirt that was pretty cool to feed my yoshimura fanboy status.
Their laser cutter can cut 1/2'' steel plate, and they have 2 giant separate welding areas, left is mig, and right is tig. They have huge lots where they just do tapers, and expansion pieces, dudes that just do baffles, pressing, pipe bending etc. 98% of the exhaust is made in house, with only the badges and engraving outsourced. They keep jigs on the exhaust for heat treatment and polishing to make sure the exhaust doesn't go out of spec. All in all, a super memorable experience.
Hope you guys enjoy the pics.

Lucky guy, sounds perfect for the budding young exhaust fabricator. |

Looks like a very cool experience.
It had to feel great that they showed interest in your self-built setup. |
