Fingers crossed for Chriss.
Met Chriss yesterday or today for the first time and had a couple of chats.
Cool dude. I went back this arvo to pick up a few cams to bring to Sydney for another bloke and couldn't find him. I asked a mate of his in the same garage and he said that helicopter you saw was taking Chris to hospital in Melbourne.
Fingers crossed mate your not too hurt.
I wish you well man

How fast is the T-Rex Harris Honda? Rhetorical question I know.
I would not count a Bike powered by a pushrod British V twin first produced in the 1940's a cheater bike Don, Hat's off to the builders of the Bike and the Aussie who beat all the more modern Jap bikes, and yes the T Rex is something special

I just went to see Chris's ("Damage" from this forum) mates.
He has a broken arm and a bit sore all over. Not as bad as some dudes who get a helicopter ride to hospital. So good news I think.
Jjam I have those cam shafts from Chris and I will bring them to Eastern Creek (BSFOS)

Keith, that Vincent is about as English as I am. The bike has been completely re-engineered and can be anywhere from 1300-1600cc with cylinder heads that look original only from the outside. That said, it's beautiful, fast, reliable and very well done but there are rumblings in the paddock about how it got included.
The basic engine and motorcycle design was taken from the original 1946 Phil Irving design. Then the engine and all components were fully redrawn by Ken Horner applying modern technology improvements which amounted to an increase of over 120 brake horse power from the original design. KH Equipment produced everything except the brakes, wheels and suspension.
It took three years of re-engineering, CAD drawing, pattern making, casting and machining to complete this superb machine. The Irving Vincent's classic good looks and race-winning performance have proved it was time very well spent.

Got me beet why someone doesn't televise this! with some of the crap things that are on TV! This would have to appeal to a wide variety of viewers.

Looking like a tight battle for the title. Taking the 3 race win with a new lap record
Metcher had his nose in front as the race approached half-race distance and once clear the 25-year-old put his head down to lower the fastest lap benchmark down to 1m37.2 on a Rex Wolfenden T-Rex Honda.

And well done Australia with Jed Metcher on the T rex Honda being the top joint points scorer

G'day all,
It was good to catch up with Scott, unfortunatley on Thursday my CB350 dropped a valve before completing one lap.So I borrowed a spare engine off one of the other WA blokes and got back out there, albeit with a standard engine.Times improved the in race one on about the 2nd last lap my mate that I borrowed the engine from ran out of brakes at turn 4 (Honda corner) and T-boned me,which sent me over the highside landing on my left arm breaking it just below the shoulder then the bike kicked me in the back a couple of times as we were sliding to a stop.
When I got to the medical centre they were worried that I had spinal damage because of sore vertebrae so that was one of the reasons they flew me to The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne.Well they kicked me out Sunday morning so one of my mates drove up to Melbourne & took me back to The Island where everyone was relieved that I wasn't seriously damaged. The Race Safe track side medical crew were fantastic (I went back to thank them when I got back to the track), the chopper crew were also fantastic (awesome drugs !!!)but the Victorian health service....,lets just say I hope that I don't ever need them again.
Cheers,
Chris,

Engine troubles and a crash with injuries....that race report is a tough one to read.
Glad to hear it was "only" an arm. You racers are a hardy bunch.
How bad was your bike beat up?

Thank You Scott, I'll be there. Have my tickets in hand. Can't wait. What size T-shirt do you and Chris wear?? That's the least I can offer for the courtesy of the cams.
Peace, Jim

Gday Jim
No need for a T shirt thanks mate. Hand shake and a chat is cool by me. I was at Phillip Island and I'll be at Eastern Creek mate so it's no hassle to chuck a cardboard box in the car.
Might even get a chance to have a beer depending on how you go for time.
I only live about 20 minutes from the track but a mate and myself have decided to camp at the track on the Friday and Saturday nights. Just relax, have a barbie and a beer and not worry about driving home.

A good view of the Irving Vincent and the T-Rex CB1100 from Jezza's Harris Yamaha.
