Sitting and work and need to make some spacers to position my 7 jugs on a set of mock-up cases to the height of the 9/11 jugs. Does anybody know the difference in height between the two?

One fin,or two chain links.

Honda tried to make a bunch of engines and make all the parts not fit.

Is that clear enough?

The stroke on the 9/11 is 69mm, and the 750 is 62mm, so I am guessing it would be 7mm difference?

The cam chain pitch spec is exactly 0.25", but I'm not sure the difference in the cylinder blocks. Other distances could have been fudged.

You need to make a different length cam chain guide as well. The chain is the same SO it really doesn't matter. Also the head bolts.

The con rods are a different length to make up some of the difference as well.

Like I said it is to make it HARD to change something.

The easy way is to bore the 750 block. I made both 1010(72mm) and 955(70mm). The best thing is to forget the short stroke and make 1187cc or larger.

I'm NOT building some new radical combination 750 based motor ! ! !

all I am trying to do is shim things up temporarily so that the exhaust ports will be the same height as my 11 motors, I need to hang a pipe so some bracing can be added, like I said I was at work and did not have the motors or empty 750 mock-up cases sitting next to me, and wanted to grab some gauge block or chunk of scrap to use, geeeeez

Never mind, I got it Smile

I have 750 and 1000c cylinders handy, and get:

750 - 3.347"

1000c - 3.605"

That sounds right, I think the cams must sit at a tiny different height in the bigger heads than the 750s, making it a little more than one chain link of difference.
