Sitting and work and need to make some spacers to position my 7 jugs on a set of mock-up cases to the height of the 9/11 jugs. Does anybody know the difference in height between the two? |

One fin,or two chain links.
Honda tried to make a bunch of engines and make all the parts not fit.
Is that clear enough? |

The stroke on the 9/11 is 69mm, and the 750 is 62mm, so I am guessing it would be 7mm difference? |

The cam chain pitch spec is exactly 0.25", but I'm not sure the difference in the cylinder blocks. Other distances could have been fudged. |

You need to make a different length cam chain guide as well. The chain is the same SO it really doesn't matter. Also the head bolts.
The con rods are a different length to make up some of the difference as well.
Like I said it is to make it HARD to change something.
The easy way is to bore the 750 block. I made both 1010(72mm) and 955(70mm). The best thing is to forget the short stroke and make 1187cc or larger. |

I'm NOT building some new radical combination 750 based motor ! ! !
all I am trying to do is shim things up temporarily so that the exhaust ports will be the same height as my 11 motors, I need to hang a pipe so some bracing can be added, like I said I was at work and did not have the motors or empty 750 mock-up cases sitting next to me, and wanted to grab some gauge block or chunk of scrap to use, geeeeez
Never mind, I got it |

I have 750 and 1000c cylinders handy, and get:
750 - 3.347"
1000c - 3.605" |

That sounds right, I think the cams must sit at a tiny different height in the bigger heads than the 750s, making it a little more than one chain link of difference. |
