Hey all, has anyone experienced the cb1300 super four? I believe they are sold outside the USA only. I have an 82 900f in silver and saw a super four, a 99, I think, in the same color scheme as my 900! I thought that bike looked a lot like our f's than anything else I've seen! Would make a nice stable mate if we could get them here! John |

Yep, the CB1300S has been discussed here for several years now. Topic comes up all the time - they are not sold in the US or Canada
Besides the 900F paint scheme, guys also like to respray them in vintage CBX paint schemes. |

Just beautiful! I would sell several of my bikes if I could snag one of those. I guess there wasn't enough (perceived) demand in the U.S. to justify importing them? |

The CB1300S is basically the successor of the CB1000 "Big One", which was available in the U.S.. The naked 1300S doesn't look that much different than the Big One. |

There are 17 for sale on bikesales.com.au. If you really want one in the USA, can't you just import one? |

It's a real shame that Honda won't sell that in the US. I would snap one up. I wonder about their marketing people. The US market has always liked bigger engines and more torque. They must be retarded. |

Yep, the same as those beautiful CB750F's in Japan. I'd pick one of those or this up in a heartbeat.

Would you need a type approval to register/licence one in the states. do you have emission testing for bikes in the US? As all the later bikes are fuel injection should be pretty clean running
There are also lots of these in the uk, look on www.biketrader.co.uk

This beautifull cb1300 is not mine
The RD is mine and i bought it from the man who owns now the cb1300.
The former owner was so in love with his old RD that he repainted the 1300 in the same colors as the R.
I visit him with the RD after the restoration to show him the result and to make some bike pics of both bikes. |

Not sure what it is like importing them into the States but out here they require an Australian compliance plate fitted before they can be registered and that can be hard to get |

It is not easy to get this into the U.S. If the bike is older than 25 years, no problem. If not, almost the only way is to get it in under the "Show and Display" regulation which will have a limited use on the street. 500 miles per year, last time I checked. |

How close is the crankcase to the new 1100. Looks a match to me. |

iirc, The UK Magazine "Performance Bike" ran one as a long term test bike, they fitted a Moriwaki "Zero" Titanium full exhaust system and Dynojet Power Commander to a CB1300
and got in excess of a 130bhp out of it! just shows how restrictive the stock exhaust system is, and the downpipes look better balanced on the bike, not bad for a bolt on mod...
Looks lovely as well, this is the latest version.

Actually, importing a bike into the US for personal use is not complicated. Just need to complete a lot of government required paperwork. Essentially, the bike must be converted to MPH, meet DOT requirements for head, running and tail lights. Documentation must be provided that the bike meets EPA emissions. Any more than 5 bikes will require a dealers license and a whole slew of additional requirements. For what its worth, its easier to import from Canada than Europe. Import one to Canada and then to the US - should be easier. |
