Has anyone ever drilled the return hole on the master cylinder larger? I dont think it would change much except the fluid could return faster to the reservoir. |

The main is large enough. The "release hole" is small for a reason. Someone tried it and it made the master cylinder have a dead travel to work. |

sonicrete by dead travel to work do you mean that basically if you start to apply pressure to pedel it will have no travel or real feel to the pedal because there is no back pressure? Sorry if that confusing. |

It was designed to work correctly with the small hole, so best to leave it as is, just keep it clear.

I travels "dead" as in no pressure and travels to give more lever play. |

When you first push on the pedal or pull the lever, the small hole is still exposed. If it's too large it lets too much fluid rush through the hole as you move the piston the first bit until you're past it. Keeping the hole small, it tends to not flow too much, and so once the piston is past it you haven't lost a bunch of lever and fluid to just emptying the line, so you can build pressure sooner on the piston travel, and have a "higher" pedal or lever action. |
