Mom passed away early Wed. morning. She was a woman of many accomplishment, winner of several civil awards, was the Chairman (mayor) Of the Municipal Action Committee (city council) where she lived in El Sobrante, West Contra County, CA. She served on the planning and zoning commision as well as the Alcohol Control Bd.
Mom, grandma, great grandma and great great grandma. She lived to see Charlee and Maximus. She was the alpha female and led the pack that came behind her well.
I lover her dearly. She worked hard, was an inspiration to me as well as others. We went thru a lot together. Mostly i reckon i put her thru a lot growing up.
Time for her to lay down her burdens. Rest in peace knowing you were well loved Ma.
Not much family left and some of you are about as close to family as i have so i wanted to share this with you that are. m |

Mike, please know that Margaret and I send our heartfelt condolences. Your description of your Mom makes me wish I could have known her. They say that a person lives on through their children, and if that's true then she lives on in you. Thinking and praying for you and Jenny in this time of mourning. I echo your sentiment that some of you guys are closer to me than my own siblings.
Take care brother, and let me know if there's anything I can do.

Hi Mike, there isn't much I can add to the posted sentiments. I know what it means to lose a parent. You say that you gave your mother some growing up pain. From your description of your mother's life and the strength she had, I'd guess she was up to the task of getting you to the place where you are today. Mourn her passing but celebrate her full life.
Your friend on the right coast.

So sorry to hear the news Mike. I know how deeply you cared about your mom - enough that you went out of your way to bring her to live close to you, where she could get the love and care she deserved during her final days. A fine mother raised a great son, and I have no doubt she was very proud of you.
You may think that there isn't much of your family left, but think again and look around right here. We are your brothers and as such, we share your grief. When you come to the NE spring ride, you'll experience in person just how much we all care about you.

Mike...the path in the clearing is bright and sunny for a woman such as your Mom.....
Know when she saw the sunlight she wasn't sad.....she knew she was going home.
My best to you and yours from me and mine.....

Mike, So sorry to hear of your loss. I know this has been coming but it is still a hard thing to go thru. The way you described her showed she raised a good son and was a truly amazing woman. If there is anything I can do, just say the word. |

Please accept my most heartfelt sympathies for your loss. Although it’s difficult to see beyond the sorrow of today, looking back at your memories of your mother will help comfort you always. It sounds like many lives have been enriched by having shared their time with your mother.

Hey Mike, from this side of the puddle, I'm really sorry to read your news.
I think the world of my mother (despite the constant repetition of stories and the conversations about folk I supposedly know that have passed away) and I can't imagine a world without mine in it, so Lord knows hole you feel.
You sound like a good son and I'm sure your mum would look on you as her proudest achievement.
All the best sir! |
