Hey all, today had some good luck.Last night on CL I found a cb900 '82 model lightly wrecked in front but otherwise runnig for 500.oo Called and no response, add disappeared.Got home today and it was up again ,called and the guy answered,ha said someone was on the way to look at it. I mearly pointed out that I had called the day before but no response and that I had a 750 already and it would go, to someone who would fix it right and knew about it.He agreed and I flew out to his place. He had not owned it for as long as I thought only a couple of months and it had pods, but sarted up straight awayfor being cold and the battery down (couldn't ride wrecked) from starting and no riding.Ran relatively well no odd noises other than the norn revved ok but a little sluggish,no smoke or backfire. Did the once around and thats when I noticed the clutch cover with the right side clutch pull and the finned alt cover so I QUICKLY looked at the other side and it said 1062 on the head!VB54 carbs! But chrome stock exhaust and Rev Comstars new bt45 F/R good seat shitty side covers.I offered 450.00 he took it I got her home. A super9!Once at home she will surely need the valves set, camchains tensoined pulsegaps set, carbs ran. and sync'ed(manometer) I believe her to be a runner after that.Oh did I say my bodywork swapped over and my fork tubes and my rear shocks and a new set of handlebars most of which I have convieniently at hand in my newly aquired parts bins thanks to the generosity of Tattoo(see...What 300.00 gets in South carolina.Should be a quick remodel and sweet when done also gonna use all the best stuff from all along the way can you say '79,'80,'81,'82,'83 all rolled into one?Sounds like a song. What all is different in the motors that will not swap from a 900 to 1100? I think clutch and rotor and starterclutch?Carbs?Any thing else?nick 4 ( Wink does anyone have super9 taken yet)
