I searched around before asking - no luck - and I have a number in my head....

What do you guys think a decent set of [ edit ]"Body Work" would cost - Red 1100F.

...I could consider a repaint too I guess.

Bill

I'm curious as to what the going rate is for getting an 1100f painted. Anyone who has recently had their f painted please post up your experiences and the cost of the repaint. Thanks

That all depends on how you want it to look and how long you want it to last. Quality paint and equipment, plus and experienced painter = more $

Have a buddy do it that has limited experience, Harbor Freight equipment and cheap paint = Doing it over and or not having it last for 30 years.

I quoted someone $1200 to do the 1100 in red, that included all the materials and decals. Paint alone will cost in the 400+ range, add decals $200, Miscellaneous materials sandpaper, buffing wheels, buffing compound = $150. So your paying for the experience and the fact that the job will be done properly and professionally.

Needless to say the individual thought it was too high Confused

But this is what he could of had. www.graphixbyjim.com

IMO.....That paint job on the black tank was well worth the $1200 tag. EXCELLENT is all I can say! No orange peel, smooth as glass, just perfect. Ron

OK, fifteen votes so far.

The general consensus seems to run less than $750 for a DECENT set of plastics [edit] including the tank.

Anyone else want to throw in their vote?

Thanks,
Bill
