Got a rotor off of ebay and it works like charm. Come off an xj650. Looked like brand new. Now my $800 1100 is an 849.00 plus shipping 1100, but at least the stator and rectifier are good. If this one fails I have a spare core to rebuild. Went for a long ride and when I got close to home I cracked the throttle up to about 8000 rpm and promptly lost two cylinders. Floats on left two carbs are stuck and pissing all over the side of the motor. Oh, well, had 'em off last week for the same reason. Must be about 10 years of crap in the tank. |
