Hey Y'all CT F'ers...

Well I was down in CT shore this past weekend and I looked up a Honda dealer because I needed the Clutch Locknut tool to get my clutch out. I got Libby's number from the Honda homepage, called them and they said they had something that would work. It is quite the place and a bit of a zoo Saturday morning. For 10 bucks they sold me a "oil plug" socket and said it would do the job. $10. Well it was a perfect fit and worked nicely. Large parts department and the staff was very helpful. Ordered some parts that I'll pick up in a couple weeks when I am down there again...

I was wondering if any of you CT F'ers knew the place and had any opinions... Or if you knew a better place in the Fairfield'ish area or along the 95-91-84 route to Mass..

Thanks!

-Don

Willows Motorsports 1555 Highland Ave, Cheshire CT 203-272-7201

Tell Gene Reilly the Service Manager that Mark LaVallee sent you.

I am prejudiced, I worked there six years.

Libby's is good too.

We go through Cheshire quite often to get to my mother's-in-law place in Hamden. On the way down we sometimes stop at Canton Cycles in Winsted to visit my fantasy Triumph Sprint ST. It would be great to have another "I've been good" destination on the way home. And Don--about where in New Haven is Libbys located?

Say hi to Ralph at Canton Cycles. He is the MAN when it comes to BMW parts. I was getting a MINT 1983 H-D XR1000 running at Joe Panhead's shop and needed starting circuit o rings which were NOT to be had, I remembered a R-90S came with the same carbs. Ralph hooked me up.

I'm good at this stuff. Ralph has one less "O".

I haven't talked to the parts guys but it's fun to shoot the breeze upstairs. Nice people.

It is about 2 minutes off the I-95 in New Haven... Here are directions:
LIbby's Directions. They too are a Honda/Yamaha/Triumph dealer...

Thanks for all the other recommendations... Willow's is on the way home and not far off the path.. I usually take the Merrit/Wilbur Cross to 91 to 84. Going by there I could just shoot across 68 and then take 70 to 84.. I'll have to check it out...

Thanks,

-Don

I have been meaning to post this, but I have been so busy at work.

If you make the trip up to Libby's

Cycle salvage. com is right araound the corner. I have gotten loads of second hand stuff from them.

I have always felt their prices were fair. The helped me out with a lot of free pointer along the way.

They have a web site and have been pretty good about quoting prices using their email inquiry system.

Just another option.
