I know there is a manual available for download here but I was thinking of buying one anyway I like the thought of having a hardcover complete manual available for perusal at my leisure.
So my question is should it be the Haynes or the Clymer ?

Neither one of them are any good. They are suitable for starting the BBQ or if you are a tough guy, you can use them as toilet paper.
The only book that has any meaning when working on your Honda CB-F is the Honda Factory Service Manual for that model bike. |

Get your printer full of paper and download the one here. It takes a while but it prints out nicely. |

I'm with Ray on this, there is no manual that's worth having other than the factory one. However, the third party manuals do have a few little tips and tricks in them but are pretty vague on the real information. |

My opinion for all that its worth......
I have found the manuals downloaded from this site are great for checking how the mc works....
The rest of the information that I obtain comes from all you guys on this site whom between you all have a vast knowledge from past experiances
of dealing with problems on your bikes.
Keep on cruising and giving out good advice

I have a Haynes that I use for quick reference of stuff like, plugs, bulbs, torque settings and whatnot. Many of the illustrations are good for helping figure out the order of how certain things go together as well.

I just started saving up for another F bike after 12 years away from riding, and the first thing I did when I found this site was snag the service manuals. I am very grateful to those of you who are responsible for creating those precious .pdf's.
Now we just need the official parts catalogs!
Oh, there's also the "Honda Common Service Manual" that's here and there on the interent for free in .pdf (its pretty freely available if you Google it) - the edition that everyone seems to have comes from a few years after the reign of the F bikes, but its still priceless. All the basic do's and don't's for your wrenchin' foundation. If I ever get some spare time, I might even read it! |

I am about to download the PDF from here, Which manual do you have on CD ?
Rather then burning a copy and mailing it to Australia do you think you Zip it and email it or post it on a server or something.
what ever you do If I could get a copy I would appreciate It.
If you decide to mail it Pm me and I'll give you my postage address
Thanks Dean |
