Its times like these that I wish I was American, then I could do one of those big ol' 'Yeehar" things you all do so well. But being English, one has to be so much more reserved.

But anyways, big up the UK cos we just beat the 'Mumblies' to the hosting of the 2012 Olympics. (and a special thanks to New York for swinging their votes to our bid when they dropped out)

You're all welcome to come and stay at my house if you wanna watch!

I apologize if this sounds ignorant, but who are the "Mumblies"?

Our Gallic cousins in the land of France. They've been a bit nasty to us Brits recently, and its so nice to be able to give them the big finger once in a while.

On a much more serious note - as I type this some bunch of motherf**kers have just started letting bombs off in the centre of London - 8 at the last count and mainly at trasnport hot spots with lots of casualties - looks like Al Quieda have decided its our turn now!!

It's really bad - fatalities are expected - 2 confirmed with many more likely.

4 major tube stations and a London bus - some f**king Al Quieda offshoot is rejoicing in the fact that the English are scared to death and the Mujahadein (or however you spell it) have exacted revenge for Iraq and Afghanistan.

Bring Osama to me and I'll show him who's scared.

Man, peole on their way to work - hungover on the Olympics bid - and some cowardly mofo detonates a bomb strapped to him. Big guy eh.

The one thing that really worries me is the UK is such a multi-cultural society that the fall-out for innocent Arabs and Asians is going to be sizeable - unfortunately there are extremists in every society and some of our less tolerant 'boys' will be thirsting for revenge.

I was meant to be in London today on business but I got re-scheduled - my route takes me through Aldgate East - where one of the bombs went off - and I would have been on that train so it just so brings it home to you y'know.

The British are stoic people - I hope Mr Bin Laden considered that, cos when we catch the f**ker we're gonna have us a linching methinks.

Be a brave man Osama and put a uniform on boy. If you wanna be a soldier then start acting like one.

Sorry guys, don't mean to get all political, but I just realised what a close shave I had and I hate seeing innocent people taking the shit for extremists the world over.

I hope you all stay safe and well

A

Aw man, it gets worse.

We're now facing 33 dead as of 15.40 GMT.

I know its small potatoes compared to 911 but it stinks all the same.

What's the answer eh?

World wide Islamic domination?

That just doesn't really fit in with my moderate views somehow!

Shit Andy (AndyLarkin) - that's not good. I'll never forget watching and listening to the events of 9/11 as they unfolded - I imagine people there are going through a similar thing.

My thoughts are with you - stay safe.

Blues,

You have my every sympathy mate. I'm waiting for test results to come back from the vet for my dog - I'm hoping for the best but dreading getting news that's worse - i don't have any idea as to what I will do if its bad news.

Dogs - they beat the shit out of humans on the best friend front.

Get another dog mate - it will really help (I think - or should that be I hope).

Chin up

Confused

Thanks Andy L., I hope its good news for you.

It will take me along time to get over Max, as he was the sweetest big dog I ever met........not a mean bone in his body and friends with everyone he met. Cool The vet said he was the oldest Airedale that he had seen. It was a very peaceful ending, but I'm still tearing up on and off over it. Crying or Very sad

It can be an awful thing, this world of ours. I am certainly glad that you are ok Andy. Our thoughts and prayers go to you and your countrmen. Has it been confirmed that this was done by Al-Quieda yet? Keep breathing.

One of the English papers had the banner headline:
"BASTARDS".

Kinda says it all.

I don't expect the Brits will react like the Spanish. Like him or not, Tony Blair has some cojones, and the power of his own convictions - whether you agree with them or not.

Hang in there guys...

God speed!

Sorry to hear the news, Bluesman. Crying or Very sad On the note of the U.K., if I am not mistaken, weren't a lot of the people over there upset about being involved with the whole Afghanistan/Iraq thing. Now the terrorists are bringing it to y'alls place. With this whole war thing, I look at it two ways: Either take it to them, or they will bring it to you.Mad Where do you want the battle to be? Regardless, you all try and be safe, thats got to be a sucky feeling to deal with.

Andy;

My sincerest best wishes to you & your country. At present my son is serving in Iraq, attempting to stop this evil in the world.

I've often wondered though why we don't publicize the fallacy of the human bomb. To get into Moslem paradise, one's gonads need to be attached. Seems to me that the vest bomb prevents that from happening. Balls go & then the head dies. No paradise.

If we publicized that, perhaps the recruiters in the camps would have a tougher time finding willing fanatics.

And to keep in on topic, I can't believe there's any F's in the sandy waste of their paradise either.
