Does anyone know if there are any other starters that will fit an 1100F, besides one for a 750F or 900F? I am having a difficult time finding one for a reasonable price. Thanks. |

Under $75 would be reasonable to me. I see several on ebay but am not sure if they will work or not. |

Is your starter missing?
A lot of the time the starter can be freshened up by cleaning and installing new brushes. |

I actually have a couple of starters but neither work very well once the bike gets hot so I didn't think that brushes would do it. My "gues" is that the shielding has worn thin and it can't sustain the heat anymore. Also, the bearings don't feel right.
Thanks for the feedback! |

Try the brushes. For $14.00 I would give it a shot. My bike was displaying similar symptoms until it just refused to turn over at all. Took it apart and found a brush worn down and a wire pulled off. Between the two you should be able to get one working. |
