Insurance. gas in CA

Hi. I live in Amsterdam, NY and from next month I am moving to SanJose CA.
In NY, I pay only 300/1 year for insurance for motorcycle.

Does any body know the price of the insurance for a motorcycle, especially CB900F.
a friend of mine said it would be so expensive but i donno i can trust him or not.

and is that expensive for gas in CA? in NY it's about 1.50/galon

I just talked to my folks in CA and in southern CA it averages 1.67 per gallon and he mentioned in the San Fransisco area up to 2.30 per gallon. I hope that the move is well worth it because it is going to be expensive. That is some of the reasons why I moved away from California.

I'm paying about $300 for full coverage insurance in Los Angeles.
