Anybody who actually acts on any of the "interesting" theories supplied by such loons is seriously in need of some intense counseling. Not to mention unlimited funds to pay for the defense lawyers. |

Really, these guys are right - but it'll be a cold day in the really hot place before you get the gov't to admit it. Since the feds have an almost ifinite amount of time and cash, they'll pretty much wear down anyone who tried to fight them.

Not if enough of us were to act in unison. But we all know that ain't gonna happen...the vast majority of sheep are just that...sheep! We let our elected officials, who aren't the cream of the intellectual crop by the way, DICTATE what we do and then we give pure lip service to the comical pretention that we live in a free country. Our elected officials do not represent our interest and/or the popular or majority of opinions. If you doubt this, you are living in a fantasy land within your own head. I'm sure a lot of people will disagree but oh well...you are welcome to be wrong if you want too...you still have that right...for now. Look what the majority opinion of late has resulted in...a total 180 degree pursuit of the exact opposite position...
Think happy thoughts, think happy thoughts...la,lah,la,la, la, la (Smurf tune )... |

Ive heard of these kind of guys for years. The 99 exemption guys. Works just great until they show up to sue your arse. We need critical mass in order to change the LAw, and so far that isnt happening anytime soon.... |

This may be somwhat a free country, but we are to stupid to allow it to stay that way. We give up our freedoms every day thinking it's a good thing because we are taught to believe that the Government knows better.
Just going through the school systems here in the states you should realize that. May not of been that obvious or promonant in the past, but I just went through High school, and grade school not that long ago. And watching the things they tell my friends younger brothers and sisters, I know it is only getting worse.
Bills with so much crap hanging off of them even the officials don't know wat they are passing.
The Electoral college is out datted and not needed. You say that we are free because we chose the people in place of power, but obviously almost 50% of the people voted against Bush. Maybe it is because of people voting only Republican or Democrat that some of us figured if we wanted to vote we had better vote for the lessar of two evils. What would happen of there were no parties?
So yes, we were a free country at one time, but we are giving it all up for stupidity. |

For what it's worth, this conservative Christian (I believe) lawyer makes some pretty good arguments in favor of the Feds. Gotta show both sides - it's the right thing to do. Isn't it?

a canadian perspective
- we bitch about taxes up here too....even more so
- i like, yes LIKE, paying my fair share.....it pays for all the great things most Canadians take for granted.......a safe clean great country....if you live in Canada and dont realize how great we all have it......then move to Afghanistan....they have land real cheap..........my 35 cents worth |

I love America. I am just not a big fan of the government. Although I am unsure it is better anywhere else. I have put some serious thought behind going to Canada, or Australia, and I am still undecided. I love America, for the other things, like diversity, and safety. Although I have heard that Canada has way, way less crime.
I too have no problems paying taxes as long as I knew they were actually going out there to benifit those around me.
You can poke at any government and find serious problems. I think they are all crooks. I just wish we would stop giving them more power. |

Hehe, it's great to see this here! I tried something similar to this a while back. It's true too. The government has no legal "right" to your "fair share" of taxes. Fair share is as the constitution puts it, apportioned among the states. In other words, everyone pays the same amount. Ha! don't see any of that happening. Congress is the only entity that has constitional power to coin money. Guess what, the "Federal Reserve" is not an actual government entity as such. A Federal Reserve Note is actually insurance script and worthless unless you agree to a value on it. Very precarious to use for money indeed. It's also issued with debt(loaned to the actual goverenment at interest - Prime rate) and can only be maintained by continuously creating more debt. IE loans of just about any kind.
Yep, too many sheep is the problem. But, more and more people are wising up to how corrupted the Governenment has become. IE a couple of recent supreme court decisions. The socialists said they'd take America down without ever firing a shot. It's not "down" yet but we're definitly hurting. On the bright side though more people are beginning to take notice. While it would be awsome if all Americans stood up on the 4th of July(hehe or April 15th even) and said "Enough!" you're right. Not gonna happen. But, critical mass is about 5-7% and I think we're getting close.
My take on all this is that the "One World" government will be established but will only last a few years at best. When it collapses though it will be ugly for all of us.
Remember these 2 things when it comes to governement/politics. 1. Nothing in goverentment/politics ever happens by accident. 2. Follow the money.
And guys, Read the Consitution! Hehe, K, off the soap box now. |
