I'm all but done with my 985f project.
The net thing on my list is a set of 35mm FCR carbs from matt.
Then im going to see if i cant find someone to bend me some exhhaust using my existing headers cause this thing sits low and drags fairly easy.

I shot these last night, its hard to tell but the colors are, the dark mineral grey metalic that ford uses on there mustangs, and a lighter silver burch metalic, the reflecitve decals are gloss black.
I have a freind who is a professional photagrapher, so he is going to take some good pics for me soon, but these will do for now

Thats where im at and about all i have planned to do........for now.
any thoughts, suggestions or questions are welcome.

this computer won't let me right click on pics to bring up properties so here is a link to my gallery

new bike pics...here

Looks nice! I wish I could see it in a lot better quality photo. Are you using a 1100R tank?

That's fantastic! You should be proud of your accomplishment. You already have CR's on your bike. Why do you need 35's.

Seat info please....

There is a much longer list of questions but I figure if I keep myself calm and ask one question at a time I'll get all the answers in time.

That is one nice looking F my friend.

Did I ask what that seat is from of where you got it yet?

Yup the tank is a 1100r,
The tail is from a 98 900rr seat icluded, i just had to modify the pan to work with the new tank.
I'll get much better quality photos when my photographer buddy getts a serious photo shoot lined up.

Thanks for all the compliments, and im happy to answer any other questions.

OK, as for the 900rr rear end
-first hack off the orginal subframe (so your gonna need a monoshock setup to do this mod.)
-then weld a support back in there somehow to keep things sturdy
-get your 900rr subframe w/ plastics, and hold it up to the rest of the bike to see how much of the new suframe legs to cut off, keep cutting till your lines match up and things look good. (i think i ended taking more length off the bottom 2 legs than the top 2)
-fab up four mounting brackets to hold the new frame on, and bolt them to the new frame
-be sure everything lines up while holding your new tail in place with the brackets bolted on and tack the mounts to the 900f frame.

You can keep the double seat if you want. but the 900f battery is too big for the 900rr battery box so i laid a big crank on its side in the trunk and used the old battery box under the driver seat for a small trunk.

That is one wicked ride. I have "oil-cooler envy" now. You are right about the cornering clearance tho. Going to be tricky. This is the first time I have seen a maxi-X in use. How do you like it?

awwwww..... I want to see all the pics Sad

Not sure what's wrong but when I click the link I get a "trying to access a restricted area" error message : I've tried logging off and back on to site again just incase the cached logon is bad but won't work for me.....perhaps the new "terminal envy" module is locking me out Laughing

That one picture Pietergordi embeded looks real sweet - that instrument module looks fantastic : real nice work and a quality bike from what I can see.
