I did see a video that claimed the hp was cut back from the hornet model 155HP to 125HP. Supposedly it had different cams and had a bunch more midrange as a result. Said it Had numerous rider modes like the hornet. I thought they previously showed a SP version with ohlins shock and brembo brakes. It also had a quarter fairing like the cb1100f. It’s Interesting and seems very reasonably priced.

I like it. Potential purchase for me. Probably silver with blue stripes, fairing, heated grips. Throw in a quick shifter. What the hell. Is it needed? No.

Only quibble I have (which won’t stop me) is with the look of the motor. I had a Kwak Z900 RS and I think they did a better job of giving the motor a bit of a retro look with the faux fins.

Maybe chrome the valve cover and a bit on each side of the motor? I don’t know. Maybe that would interfere with the look Honda put together for this? And out me as on old guy? 🤦‍♂️

I could ride this as is. Ok, maybe a nice can (leave the stock cat and headers), some tidier blinkers and a tail tidy would be nice.

In any case, bravo to Honda.

Would the forum consider adopting this bike as a sub section? It’s sort of a spiritual successor to our F’s. Maybe a bridge to the future?

471 lbs 32 inch seat height top speed 126 10,000 bucks.
In my opinion the striping is similar. That's it.

While I like this bike, I’ve never really liked the black frame/motor/wheels combo. You lose all the nice mechanical detail visuals IMHO.

I’ve owned two non US CB1100F’s in my lifetime. A red one and a blue one both with the gold wheels. I’m a bit disappointed that they didn’t go for one of those colour schemes for the 1000F. I think it would really jazz it up. Maybe they will try that in the coming model years, or I could customise it I suppose. I expect someone in the Japan custom scene is already dreaming this up.

Looks decent. Approx. 121 hp, 6 speed, assisted slipper clutch, and different riding modes. The power spec is disappointing, but at least it's considerably higher than the 1100F. For $10K, not a bad bike - the biggest thing it has going for it is the retro look. Let's see if the U.S. will be ignored again when they roll it out of production. Meanwhile, I'm loving my new Ninja 1100SX and have no regrets.

It's OK. Not really in love with the chin look on the headers, and why not keep the power? That's disappointing.

Not to my liking, think Kawasaki nailed it with the 900rs, Honda almost ran....exhaust looks weird. Looks too tall.
The original is hard to beat

I like the bodywork, but I don’t like the look of the cylinders and cam cover. The Z900RS looks a lot more authentic. Apart from being retuned, that engine is straight off the existing CB1000.
