Here in MA, (and New England) some of the best riding weather is in September and early-mid October. This morning was no exception. My wife and I are down in Plymouth for a 5 day weekend and this morning I took off for a nice ride on my vacation bike, a 78 GL1000 Gold Wing that I restored and modified years ago. (I keep it down here as my "vacation bike".) Air temp was mid-60's when I left, no humidity, and very few clouds in the sky. There are some great twisty roads nearby, so I headed down towards the Cape Cod Canal. The canal is in the background, with the Sagamore Bridge off in the distance. I headed back on different roads and picked up the back half of the twisty road that I started out on. Get out and ride while the riding is good! |

Agreed! New England? Fall? Motorcycle riding? Spectacular! And I have crossed that bridge many times as a kid in the 70’s heading out to North Truro for family camping vacations.
Ride safe!

It was another gorgeous pre-fall day, so I was "forced" to get on a bike and ride. Today it was RMII, which I rode to the Wachusett reservoir for lunch. From there, I went out through multiple towns on several great country roads and did a total of 60 miles. I wish we could have 2-3 months of this weather. |

Thanks! Lots of mods on that one and a bunch of 1100F parts that were used to make it a better bike. |

My wife kicked me out of the house today, to go for a ride. I've been working hard on cleaning up the yard, and have gotten out of the habit of riding. The weather was spectacular, the bike was amazing, and the 100 miles went all too quickly... |

Hey Rick! The NE, including the Canadian Maritimes has been spectacular for riding this summer, but, I have been watching from the sidelines...
We have been in NS since Aug. 1 and we have had 1 day of rain plus a couple of passing light showers. The dug well is getting dangerously low.
How long do you stay in Maine? We are heading home Sept. 29, I hope that October is kind to me and I can get some fall riding in.
