Last year I purchased a CB1100rc from my friend Adam at IconicMotorBikes. I love this bike... rides great, plenty of power and is extreamly comfortable. My 1100r came from South Afica along with 5 other 1100r's. Adam sold one but he simply did not have the time to get the other4 ready for sale. They languished in the back of the hanger for months. Last month I swung by the hanger and saw the 4 bad boys gathering dust. Well I made Adam an offer on all 4 and he accepted it! I got them at a great price.
Now I have 4 CB1100r's to get back on the road. None are garage queens. They have all been riden and used plenty. Fortunatly I have all the body work and pieces needed except the stock exhaust. All 4 have Cowley 4 ino 1 exhaust. Now the fun starts... One by one I will get on the road and then sell them. I will try to keep the forum posted on the progress. Needless to say the carbs are in need of attention and brakes are either dragging or bleeding. The end result should be 4 road ready 'daily rider" 1100rc's.
Yippee ki-yay ! |

I'm envious, having worked on a few. Iconic.
However, I noticed on the bike with HRC on the fairing, the front rotors are reversed.
I'm certain you'll get to that. |

Hello JR, yes I saw that and there are other things that are "wrong" but I will get to them. I can tell you the exhaust are LOUD! |

Not that long ago I reached out to Adam about a bike that sold on auction but later was noticed the front wheel was awfully close to the exhaust (bent frame or forks), and so they prepared another bike for that winning bidder. I was exploring the option of buying the bike (with suspect frame / forks) to utilize some of the parts on a build I have on-going, and he was going to get back to me, but never did. Not sure if one of these bikes is that bike.
Glad you could make the purchase and save them from potentially being parted out. Keep us up to date on the builds. |

Seems a common complaint and it can be overwhelming. Patience is a solution, determination another. Good luck. |

OK... bent frame 1100r is sold and I have just finished a second 1100r. It is complete with original exhasut and it runs great. I have a prospective buyer here in So Cal. We will see. In my experiance people love the brochure but you never see the credit card. In any case .... here is the second bike.. |

Nothin yet Cliff and thanks... we will see. The bike looks great but it's missing plenty of stock fastners and such. It's a daily rider... Those South African guys ride em hard too. |
