I've been wanting to do this for a while now- giving stock 900/750 plates the lattice treatment.
After drill press, jigsaw, files, die grinder, sandpaper and lots of elbow grease followed by
media blast here's the result. Thanks to SteveG and Grumpy32 for supplying me with plates
to work with. Powder coat is yet to come. |

I have no idea. I did it purely for aesthetics.
And like nathanhouse said - the price was right.
Can't wait to see them on the bike.

Here they are PC'd and installed. In case anyone's curious the bolts just below the rear footpegs are bungee points for my tailbag.
There 2 matching ones at the rear of the grab rails. I like the way they turned out.
Also posting a shot of my new gauge faces.

Glad you like it! The chain guard is from a Asian market cb400SF (Super Four) I saw it on a build here that I think belonged to Peter (pontiacstogo)
He used the swingarm and the chainguard. I found mine online- I think from Taiwan- I modified it to work w/the stock swingarm, using its existing
front mount, cutting off the rear and removing the steel rear mount from the stock guard, reshaping it & mounting it on the outside of the guard.
I also added a piece of sheet metal on the back side of the front to catch the locating tabs on the swingarm. Lots of work but I like the way it turned out.
