Is something going on over there I need to know about? My Yahoo business account has been suspended and I can't get to the site.
On hold now waiting for customer support. |

503 here also, which likely means they took the site down for some reason STILL on hold 45 minutes later.
Not sure what the account suspension is about though. I can't do anything with either site. Can't even login. |

Ok, they picked up and dumped my call after an hour and a half. Will call again tomorrow. |

Any errors in the 500s mean the server is telling you that it can't give you the page. It means that it's the servers fault, not yours (400s mean it's your fault).
Specifically, 503 is the error given when the server is unable to answer your request. Often, it's because too many people are communicating to the server at once and it's too busy. A 503 means it's a temporary error- try again in a few minutes.
Yahoo can't handle the traffic to its servers? |

I suspect it's more than that. My Yahoo business account is suspended and a site I own is down. There's going to be more to the story. That's why I asked if there is anything I need to know or explain. I can't hang on hold all night, especially since they dropped my call after more than an hour. It may be a Yahoo thing. Cb750c.com members check here for updates or provide info. |

I replied to your PM Glenn. Thanks for your efforts.
My experience with the issue is about the same as D-Day's. |

The way it was intermittent for quite a few hours then quit altogether, makes me think there's a possibility it might be an equipment failure.
A few hours earlier, I could just refresh a page and get through. I was away and offline for a few hours, then returned and read my email and discovered Glenn had found it unresponsive. |

Ok, just got off the phone with Yahoo. They say there was some malware on the site. Which seems unlikely, but possible. I deleted the files they listed, they were very old and probably unused.
Yahoo will restore service within 24 hours after a clean sweep. Hang tight. |

I wonder if they considered a ddos. That could also result in 503. I have no idea what level of traffic would bring down their server, but we did have around 280 bogus new member registrations the other day. |

It's still 503 unavailable though ?
Oh, within 24 hours, I see. Their clean sweep must be steam powered.
Malware? |

I got right on when I first saw this thread. Just came from there if that's any help, Glenn...
I use 'duckduckgo' not chrome, firefox, etc.
"CB750.com is dedicated to the Honda CB750 SOHC and DOHC motorcycles and to their owners who love to ride, restore, and customize them. All CB750 enthusiasts are welcome regardless of where you are from or whether you are into CB750 choppers, bobbers, cafe racers, drag bikes, or restorations. Enjoy the site!" |

Looks like Chinese hackers to me. I plowed through a lot of scripts and found some funky shit. Mostly references to Chinese websites. I'll let Yahoo rerun their AV software and see if they find anything else. Worst case scenario I'll nuke the site and re-install. I got a good backup of the database this afternoon, and restored some files from last month just to be safe, so nothing is lost from when it went down.
I also sent their tech support a message asking them to turn the webserver on again, if it's not up by tomorrow morning I'll call them again.
The site was last updated in 2008 and there actually is a newish version of the software, so it's not the end of the world in any case, just a PITA. |

Choptop [new member signed up] 6:56 12/12/2020
Good evening, new member, 1st post. Not new to Honda's, have had a '13 F6b for 6 years and 40,000 miles. New to older Honda's. Going threw Facebooks Market place and saw a newer build trike , listed as a 1977 Custom CB 750 Trike, of course it was only 40 miles away so I had to go look at it... 750 bored out to 836, all new parts, cycle exchange trike frame w/limited slip rear end, Cycle x dual Mikuni carb set up, super low boy stainless exhaust, Drag Specialties springer front end w/Ultima 48 spoke fat 23 x 3.5 front tire... Basically everything is new but the rear tires and rim. No fenders, horn or turn signals, things I can take care of, now it is my job to finish the way I want, has 300 miles on it.
Added 2 phptos but had to sign up to see them when clicked on. |

It's a different site.
cb750c.com, not cb750.com |

Guys, I'm getting the complete run around from Yahoo, been on the phone for hours. Totally wiped out the C site, used their own tools to build a test site and STILL can't get to it. One rep hung up on me, another claimed her tools weren't working.
Sheesh.
I'm working on it. |

Ok, it's fucked. Yahoo engineering is working on it, may be up to 72 hours. What fuck ups.
When it does come up, it will be a Wordpress test site I tried to install, don't freak out |

"please don't do anything,"
OK, thanks. I'll check tomorrow.
I was just there and saw some users have logged in. |

They were warned
I've got 2 good DB copies, so if anything goes wrong we'll revert to them. That was from just couple of hours ago. In all likelihood it's probably ok, it's also new version of the software and it seemed to install fine. If it actually works I'll do the same thing here. The PITA is finding the image and doc files you guys have accumulated over the years. They don't restore unless I actually recreate the directories then do a restore which is absurd.
Ok, gotta run. |

It would be great to get /publicdocs back if it's not too much of a pain....but whatever you can do is appreciated! |
