After I bought my F last winter and did the repairs reconditioning and maintenance and started riding it a lot ( did myself but with a lot of help and insight on critical elements from SwiftNick and parts from others here in the forum) one thing straggling was exhaust. It had a 4-1 Mac which turned out to b open inside! I found some baffles from a hot rod shop that fit and jammed them in which made the bike tolerable but it was still not a great exhaust setup by any means in terms of sound, performance, or looks. I set about looking at all the options and Nick offered me a Schule he used to have on his R at a friendly price....we took a look at fitting it one day at his place and it was clear the center stand was in the way. I have a car lift but no bike lift so I like the center stand....I deferred for a while....anyway I did grab it from him and fitted it the other day (bought a swing arm rear stand from harbor freight....and I must say it’s really great!! The sound, looks, and fitment are just perfect and I am ok with the side stand and the swing arm stand....have a look |

Lucky you! I wish, I own a Schüle 4-2-1.
These headers improve the midrange power a lot.
A couple of weeks ago, I talked to Peter Schüle himself to get me a new one for my bike. Peter Schüle designed this exhaust in the late 70th for Fritz Egli and his Egli Honda's. It was a nice talk to Peter with lot's of good old stories and technical information.
But at the end, Peter has so much work in other areas and nearly no time building it, that the price for a new stainless Schüle exhaust is not affordable for me.

I did notice that the bike makes much smoother power so what you are saying makes sense in terms of better midrange....that is really cool that you talked to Peter Schule - I did not realize the Egli connection - I beleive they are in Switzerland while he is is German? Since he does not have the time to make them he should license someone to do so perhaps you would suggest that to him so u can get a set.... |

Someone on here had or has a 4-2 exhaust that pairs 1-4/2-3 or perhaps it was 1-3/2-4, which they said gives off a unique sound. Anyone know what that exhaust may be? |

MAC Exhaust, makes a 4-2-1, “Tri-Y” system, that pairs cylinders 1 - 4, and 2 - 3.
Google it, lots of pics show up.
Obviously, not as good as the Schule, but hey...
