The Picture of Vince on the orange 1100F is a tribute to this Forum
For years I said I wanted to make one of the Spring rides, reading about them on the Forum
We were headed to Oneonta, NY for Janet and my first Spring F ride in 2017.
Vince posted he had bought an 1100F in Texas, so since we were headed up and other people I'd only talked to via the forum, said Vince and George were good guys, and it was "kinda" on the way, I said I'd bring it up.😊
When we picked it up, it was a typical neglected, non running old motorcycle.
After meeting everyone from the F forum and riding all day, then getting back and having a few adult beverages, We unloaded this poor 1100F and Vince was determined he was going to get it fired up, and if I remember correctly, between Darren and Rick and Rick and Steve and Doc and Tom, in short order Vince's newly acquired Orange 1100F was running, albeit rough but it was running !!!!
And that's the pic of Vince with the smile on his face as it fired up for the first time 😀
It didn't take long for Janet and I to see what a great Forum and nice group of people there were on this forum.
Here's to when we can have more times like that 😊 |
