I'm getting close to finishing the restoration of this awesome 1100 Super Boldor. Was wondering if Aussies here could share their choise of fuel and mixture if any. I can get 91 fuel but I like to get your opinion. Cheers

What brand of 2stroke smokeless oil? I heard alot about AMSoil 100:1, there're also Opti-2, Redline, Lucas, Pennzoil?

Also 120ml per full tank? Cheers

Does that require a kit to be installed? I'm trying to keep everything stock.

Only 98. 91 is about as clean as diesel.

Is that a full or semi? There're too many options on 2 stroke oils: premix, with ester, for oil injected engine and so on and they're all two stroke racing oils. If you go to MX forums and read about oils you'd go nuts. I'd probably only fill the reserve portion of the tank for the first few runs and tuning so I have to work out the ratio.

I think I missed that meeting so could you fill me in on why you’re using 2-stroke oil in the fuel of your 4-stroke?

What fuel type and additive do you use? Honestly I have the same question. When I told the local bike shop mechanic about the 120ml 2 stroke oil additice, he gave me a nasty look. I'm not saying there is something wrong with it, I too like to know the theory or logic behind it. Why cant we use the same additive that all historic bikes/cars use? I dont know but I'm happy to try it.

No real reason except for a little extra upper cylinder lube.

Ive been so busy with work this past year i get little time to ride, my bike can sit for a month or two, so the 2 stroke helps with the fuel from not going off.

I find the bike feels a little bit smoother but it is probably my imagination. I usually dose the fuel every second tank at 160:1 ratio.

This is where i read about it.

https://inspirationmomentsblog.wordpress.com/2015/12/27/2-stroke-oil-in-a-4-stroke-motorcycle/

160:1 ratio is a very weak mix.

Ive used it for the last 6 months without any problems, Ill check my plug condition over the next few days, my exhaust still looks the same as before.

Cheers

None. I never have and don’t know anyone that does.
