I was wondering why engineers from Honda emailed me asking for pics and details of the punisher |

If they bring one out like the top pic I'll find a busier corner for the missus to work and even help!!!

It looks great to my eyes but It would be a lot nicer based on the 1000R engine with 140 hp

Since you bring it up , I tried to like that bike even though it was hard to get by the license plate mount and the Noassatall issue
Unfortunately 140 crankshaft horsepower translates into 119 rear wheel horsepower as proven by this months Roadracing World test on the new CB1000R
When my stock 93 900RR makes that same horsepower and a CB900/1100F 1123 motor makes 10 plus more, and most 1000 sport bikes make 160 to 170 rear wheel horsepower, I'm not seeing progress or what we need to see !!!
Maybe there's not enough of "us " left |

I agree the 140hp isn't really competitive with what the other manufacturers are putting out there. Other manufacturers detuned their superbike engines for more low end torque for "streetability" but still come out 20hp more than the Honda ..I'm thinking of the s1000R BMW, MT-10 Yamaha.
I like that Honda 1000r alot , but kind of wish it had competitive power in the class...... |

I had a 2004 CBR1000RR, a 2006 CBR1000RR, as well as a 2008 CBR1000RR.....
,
Never once did I wish for more low end, or mid range power
I'd love to have that bike with F bike styling and 2018 CBR1000RR motor
If you're going to dream might as well dream Big |
