I've had my CB1100F for 11 seasons now. I wanted one of these bikes when they came out in '83, but didn't have the $$ at the time. I've never owned any motor vehicle this long.
Below are a couple of pics of me and my machine, taken 10 1/2 years apart. Pic 1 was taken in April 2008 and Pic 2 taken yesterday. I've made numerous changes to make the bike better, some visible, some not.
Cheers!
Chris...still a happy CB1100F owner.

I like that the neighbor trimmed up that large pine tree, much neater look.
Bike looks great |

I have a similar picture of me with my then new Mustang Bullitt in 2001 and then again in 2008. I've had that car for 17 years now.
You really don't look that different and didn't let fast food get the best of you. |

Joe!! Good to hear from ya buddy! Yes, that Hindle pipe has made this bike even more fun to ride. It really wakes up after 6K rpm!
Sorry I didn't get to see you guys this summer, and the fall hasn't been great for riding either. It seemed when we did have a good weekend, my wife and I were heading out somewhere.
I didn't make it down your way at all this year, and other than going on the N.E. Spring and Fall rides, I didn't venture too far from home. Only went to Port Dover once, and that was after Friday 13th in July.
Take Care,
Chris |

I'll say!! I've been procrastinating on getting it ripped up and redone for a couple of years now. Next spring...it will be done!!
(wish I could afford concrete!)

Here is a larger pic of my avatar. This one is from June 1981. My first Honda CB-F bike that I bought in November of 1980, I think I paid just over $2000 new off the showroom floor.
Cheers!

I had to sell it in the fall of 1983 when I was between jobs. I had a '73 Pontiac LeMans at the same time, so the bike had to be sold. Almost got what I paid for it. |

I think the car closest to the road is a Mercury Gran Marquis. Any guess on the bike parked behind me? |

Yes, the car close to the garage does look like a Galaxie 500, and the bike is a Kaw KZ1000, although I don't remember when he bought it. Funny thing, he sold that Kaw that summer and bought a new CB900F.

You could at least have the common decency to get bald and fat.
I still have my bought-new CB1100 from 1983 (and it's newer grandchild, the 2013 CB1100) and my bought-new Nissan 300zx from 1985. |
