is it just me or has there been a computer techie issue with the forum ??
over the last week or so had various - connection to forum issues - periods of no connection that solved itself
however now a few quirky things happen
don,t get the typical list of unread posts now and when I post i've typically got to submit the post 3 times before it goes - time out being the prevention
had an issue with the code when you have to re log in - kept telling me the code i'd typed was wrong - next day - one attempt and bingo
ok tried to submit this - "invalid session please resubmit" -done
nope try again
nope try again
ok going to try without typing again

I had the same problems. Started when I tried to reply to a WOWDAD thread. Got a Raven nuke screen and then poof.

The technical issue is this. All of us appear (to the forum) as coming from the same few IP address, rather than our real world IP addresses. This is an issue with the hosting service, Yahoo, not an issue with the board itself. Someone changed something somewhere.

Here's latest.

Hi Glenn,

Apologies this issue is not yet resolved.

I've passed your information to engineering, they are investigating the issue. I'll update the minute I have news.

Can I get a status update on this? It's really becoming an issue.

BTW the timeout issue has NOT been resolved, I just tested it.

Just received a message about this ongoing issue. It should be noted session timeouts are likely not the problem, but rather a symptom. The problem is every query to the DB or WEB server is resulting in a different and wrong 10.x.x.x space address as a source. Once this issue is resolved and the correct public IPs are returned on queries all the current issues "should" be resolved.

see attached

I've confirmed that the wrong IP is being passed. Here's a shot of one on my own posts. Notice it shows other users posting from the same 10.x.x.x space address. It should show my public address, and not show other users at all. (Since mine is a static IP at my home).

We're having the same issues at the Custom site too. It's been happening for just over a week now, started sometime last Thursday night/Friday morning after the host (Yahoo) outage that took both sites offline. All incoming IPs are showing local addresses there too, not public ones as they should.

It was noted to me that if you hit the preview button a couple of times before you submit, your message will go through.
