A customer showed me these 2 pedals that were part of the deal when he bought his CB1100F. (US spec.)

They're both shorter than the stock parts by about 20mm.

I've seen a lot but, never seen (or noticed) that some had been made shorter. What's the deal? Are they from another model Honda? For folks with shorter feet? Quicker shifting and braking? Who knows the answer?

Maybe they're off a different bike, or maybe they've been shortened or bent. I've had pedals cut/bent/welded and rechromed before for better fit to modern shoes/boots, and less leg cramps. They do look like the angles are a bit different, maybe it's an optical delusion.

Both look like Honda OE parts, not modified. There may be some distortion in the photo or the way they're laying on the surface.

Not bent, no tooling marks, just shorter. Perhaps from a C model but I don't work on those so I can't confirm.

They aren't from a 900C or 1000C. Maybe from one of the other 750 models.

These are likely from the cb750k models. The K models had the passenger peg mounts built into the frame and so I can only imagine that the dimensions were different than the bolt on 750/900/1100f peg mounts.

Not from a 750c the shifter is longer on the 750c and the brake has an extra side ways offset to it . I am confused why where the rear pegs mount have any bearing with controls buy the driver

It could just be different parts as Honda changed pedal numbers. For example, the 79-81 750f and 81 900f used brake/shifter pedals with a model code of 445 (79-81 750f), the 82 750f/900f and 83 1100f use pedals with a model code of MC3 (82 750f).

Chalk it up to kaizen.
