I've got your attention now!
Does anyone have any photos or ideas of how to make the 750 DOHC rear end look any better?
I don't particularly like the chunky seat, light and grab rail etc.
I've seen hundreds of photos of people chopping the frame and putting a hoop in but my main concerns with doing that are potential wheel clearance issues with the hoop (anyone have any experience?), not having the skills to do the fabrication, not being able to go back to stock if I were to sell it, and the structural integrity of the frame.
I'd happy to have a go making my own seat/cowl and it doesn't have to be a two-up seat.
If you know of a solution, whether it be a custom seat (with or without hoop), customising the original seat, I'd love to see or hear about it. |

Something like this is OK.
Would chopping the two rear ends of the frame up until the arch and not putting a hoop in have any effect apart from not being able to attach the rear light and cowl/fairing? |

If I could weld one of those on the back that would be great! |

This seat was original CB900 , I have changed the bottom and did some welding on it , the bike has a CB1100 XX rear swing.
Hope it contributes to any ideas.

Nice bikes!
I think I'll keep the side panels, get rid of the helmet holder and seat hinge, and chop off the two rear ends up to the arch and make a seat to fit that. |
