Talking with a customer at work about his mid 70s XL 350, that he used to ride, it was in great condition and I always admired it.
He informed me that he had just sold it for $500 because he was getting old and it was to rough to ride anymore. Damn.
Anyway long story short he said to me
"do you like Honda's?" I said yes I've had a few "Have you heard of a Boldor?" Yes I've owned several.
Well I have a deal for you.
This was it, I agreed to purchase it sight unseen for $500. Turned out considerably rougher than I expected but there are enough bits and pieces (New) that made the deal okay.
Its obviously lived out in the weather for a fair while, has 42320km on the clock, and someone has tried to make a bobber out of it.
Looks like I have a bit to do to resurect this one.
Doing a bit of research this is what it once would have looked like. Except from its history it says it was black in colour.

Nice. Doesn't look that bad from here. You should see mine that had been left out. |

the Police bike is an FB, yours is an FC, can't say I ever saw an FC police bike, but they always used to put more accurate speedos on the police bikes |

I Really only wanted a 900 crank and assorted parts but now I have the whole bike here, it feels wrong to just pinch bits off it.
The new genuine Honda spare parts I got with it made it a good buy.
New Tachometer, Cables, Complete parts to overhaul the brakes including front brake reservoir and cap, Some gaskets, Generator cover etc.
Depending what I decide to do to this bike a lot of the parts I may not use.

Me neither that's why I put that picture up, its the only one close I could find. All other pictures where earlier models again, but you get the the idea with the panniers so-forth.

Hi Mark, how has the recovery from when your place went under water going? Did you get the bike in your post up and running again. I was gutted when I saw pics of it after the water went through. |

Hello Norm, I had some time concentrating on getting back on my feet and up and running. My bike was put on the back burner, but I have been slowly accumulating bits and pieces to get it going again. This bike came along and I had thoughts of it being a donor bike for my other one but I have had trouble doing that to it. So now it looks like I'll have two bikes to work on .
Bits and pieces are not cheap for these things anymore as you know, so its a slow process.
Hope your doing well Norm, thanks for your interest I appreciate it.

Hey Mark. I have a 900 crank you can have. It's pretty good (from memory), but I'll get it out and shoot a few pics if you're interested. I would imagine postage will be high, but it's yours if you want it? |

Wow I'm blown away with the generosity of the members on this site. Ian (Bikeboy) offered me this crank and for my flood damaged CB1100F and look what arrived at work today.
I'm a bit stuck for words Ian, its is just perfect, thank you very much. If ever I can return the favour please don't hesitate to ask mate. Its a major help to me to be able to get what literally is a bucket of bolts back to it's former glory. Hopefully I can enjoy a beer with you sometime down the track.
Thanks again Ian

Never really took much notice of this seat other than it had been cut up. Today I realized it was made to shorten the rear for that bobber look
Not my cup of tea but you gotta admit its kinda ingenious the way who ever did it went about creating the tail section.

No worries mate. Knew they were going to a good home. Sold the RD the other day, so as the last DOHC in the shed, I now have no need for any of my 'stuff'. Let me know if you need anything else.
cheers, and good luck with the build.
Oh. and get rid of that seat immediately

Yeah I was thinking about taking to it with an axe but the base may come in handy, so I’ve hid it in an out of sight corner of the shed.
It’s good to hear that you sold your "R" Ian. Only wish it could have been me, still I hope you got the price you were after mate. Let me know what parts you have left and I’ll let you know if I need anything.
Cheers Ian
