Isn't Petrat an authorized dealer? He sells their forks, maybe he does parts too...

I use "Hard Racing" as my Ohlins contact. That's where my Blackbird shock came from. They are reg dealer/maintainers of the brand. Petrat of course is a go to guy also, but there's that border thing to consider maybe?

Klaus at EPM rebuilt a set of Öhlins for me a couple yrs ago, he converted and rebuilt a used set of twin Öhlins to fit my ZRX, he works on everything, he was the original importer and supplier of the Wilber brand shocks.

Call direct, someone will help. The problem will be however matching a clevis to your needs. The clevis on the HO140 shocks designed for the CB-F is one piece with the lower spring support, not a screw-on unit. There are manufactures that make celvises, but again you need to figure out the correct one for your application. These guys are fairly local to me and might be able to help if you can't source anything directly from OHLINS >>>> http://forsakenmotorsports.com/products/custom-ohlins-clevis/

I think you are right , the HO140 clevis would not work . These are a set of S36PR1C1LB Ohlins . They can be had in Ring and clevis mount , so the clevis should be available .

I see these on Yahoo Japan, two different lengths too (20mm, 30mm), best viewed in Chrome:

I already had them bookmarked . They also have them in 40mm length . By the time you pay Rinkya and shipping to the US they will be in the $170 range . I would hope I could source some in the US for that price .

Does EPM sell just parts . Don't need them rebuilt , don't think they have ever been mounted .

He can get whatever Öhlins USA offers, also the two most popular dealers and rebuilders of Öhlins on the ZRX Site are,
http://www.kyleusa.com

And Dave here, both these guys have given us group buys and rebuilding services deals on the ZRX forum, here is a post on a thread there, tell them you were sent there by a ZRX forum member!
http://fastbikeindustries.com/

Dave @ Fast Bike Industries, he worked for Ohlins for several years supporting racers from MX to roadracing and ventured out on his own a year or so ago. He's in Hendersonville, NC and close to Ohlins USA. He built a shock for one of our mini-roadracing bikes and it was great. Put an Ohlins 20mm fork kit in the ZRX, they came back with compression, rebound, and preload set. Installed and have not touched anything, very pleased with the results.

Great guy that knows his stuff.

I can get you a set for about $125 if you want them, subject to currency fluctuations.

I might take you up on that offer , if I can't find anything in US reasonable . Still have some calls to make to find out availability and price .

Call OHLINS and ask is the clevis from S36PR1C1L will in fact fit. It is the clevis version of the same shock.

Talked to Dave at Fast bike Industries and found out these are shocks from a Yamaha and are 40mm too short . The clevis will fit but they will still be 40mm too short . Sad They only make them ( clevis ) in one length . The other option is to have them completely redone , which is a shame as these have never been mounted . The other option is the clevis from Japan , but even with the 40mm it will leave these shocks 20mm too short .The travel is only 5mm shorter so I don't think that will be a problem . Dave is going to look at parts differences and pricing to change them over to 11F spec shocks . I anticipate the cost will be high and I probable will go with the Clevis from Yahoo Japan .

I'd want to confirm which S36PR1C1LB these are, and if they are really too short. Which Yamaha model? XJR1200? If so, then ya, too short. I use these exact same ones (same part number but KA149 made for ZRX1200R) exclusively on my builds:

OHLINS specs

S36PR1C1LB

Length: 365 +8/-2mm
Stroke: 94mm

HO140

Length: 364 mm
Stroke: 97 mm

The S36PR1C1LB came from a picture on the internet . The model is YA 4520 , which I think he said was the XJR1200 from 94-98 . They actually measure 342mm from eye to eye . You can look those up much easier than me . Laughing . My next question is if I get the 40mm clevis from Japan it will put me at 362mm .He told me the stroke was 5mm less on these than stock . How big a deal is that ?

Ohlins YA452 Set-up data
Total length                      325 +10 -0 mm
Stroke                             92 mm
Preload spring                  15 mm
Rebound adjustment         12 clicks
Compression adjustment   2 clicks

Ohlins HO146 Set-up data
Total length                     358 +10 -0 mm
Stroke                             92 mm
Preload spring                  13 mm
Rebound adjustment         12 clicks
Compression adjustment   2 clicks

Looks like the stroke is the same.

Mine measure 342mm plus you can get 10mm more in adjustment, so somebody might have already changed them ??? Next question , the 20mm from Japan will leave me 16mm short , the 30mm from Japan will leave me 6mm short , the 40mm from Japan will leave me 4mm over and no adjustment down . I assume the best would be the 30mm leaving me 6mm short but I still have the 10mm adjustment up if need be .

Sorry to drag up a months old thread, but I'm in the process of sourcing a set of Ohlins to fit on my 900F which has an XJR1200 swingarm fitted - my question is, do those shocks you've got there have a 16mm upper eye to suit the F frame?

the reason I ask is that the XJR1200 has a 14mm mount from the frame (I've actually got an XJR1200 so it was easy to check), so I was looking at other options such as the ZRX1200 or CB1300, but from my internet research it seems they may have a 14mm upper mount too...
unless all the Ohlins upper eyes are 16mm & they come with a bushing to downsize it onto the 14mm mounting peg?

I had to press out the top bushing and replace it with a stock Honda all rubber bushing.
