I decided over the winter to sell a couple of motorcycles. It's nice to have a little collection, but a couple of them weren't being ridden much and that's not good for these old bikes. As far as my DOHC's go, with one stock 1100F and one modified version, I'm going to pick those over the 900F more often than not. I've had this one for over 8 years and really enjoyed riding it, so it wasn't an easy decision. If I had more space, I may have reconsidered. But I finally decided that it was time to go to a new home.
I mentioned it to a friend that I was going to sell it and he mentioned it to a friend who was looking for one. I took lots of pictures, sent them along, we talked and next thing you know, a deal was made. It took his shipping company a while to get things scheduled, but the truck driver finally arrived yesterday and loaded her up.
So here it is, in the truck and now on it's way to the state of Washington.
I hope the new owner enjoys her as much as I did. A great bike! |

Yeah, having a collection is something aspiration worthy, fulfilling, and makes you proud, but you can only ride one at a time. Sharing the experience of owning an F bike is special in it's own way. I anticipate the new owner will learn to appreciate it like we do and go on group rides!  |

You have my condolences Tom. Parting with an old friend is always difficult. I sold my silver 9 and regret it whenever I think about it.
PS the header died an inglorious death under the sand blaster. The corpus will be preserved for future mock ups. lol
