Steve, this one went to Victoria BC.

He was blown away when he saw it in person. His comment was "the photos were incredible but in all honesty they didn't do the bike justice". He races RC51 and 600RR at the track in Victoria, he's an experienced rider, and was amazed at how well the bike handles and brakes. I need to get him to send a sound byte of it in action.

Yup, and I have two more that are almost done within 7 months. It's amazing what you can accomplish with a bit of plan, organization, and a few hours here and there to actually concentrate on these things.

For example, on Saturday I pulled the motor from the RD restomod donor (30 mins). Disassembled the motor and then cleaned all the internals and checked all the specs (4 hours). By Monday all the cases were cleaned, brackets and case covers were wet sanded, and then all coated gloss black (except side covers are gold). Last night all the valves were lapped and then installed new viton seals (thanks Gene). Engine is going back together tonight with all of Captains guides, chains and rear tensioner. Just need to slot the cam sprockets so cams can be degreed. I also last night did the dampeners on the clutch (thanks Wout). The biggest bottleneck I have is the engine cleaning and prep work. This is where I need to make an investment as the amount of labor involved to do it is taking the fun out of it Rolling Eyes

Sure, but you might need to make arrangements with the owner in British Columbia Razz

Darren, you should get some t-shirts made up with your business logo. The one on your db Customs website would be nice.

At some point I might .... they are good to give out to friends but in this day and age not something that has real marketing value. Having my bikes featured on various social media pages gets a ton of exposure. For instance, Motorcycle.com's facebook page has around 250K subscribers ... it's free advertising for me and has a big impact. Practical Sportbike's magazine pays me my photography fee to have my bikes get featured, they have a huge following as well with subscribers both with the mag and online. All of my clients so far have come from free online marketing on social media. It can be a great tool. You have immediate international access. I may not even have to make up any business cards Razz Laughing

But I want a t-shirt.

It may not be required for your business, but I assure you, it would make me look cool.

Just so you know. If you make them, I'll buy at least one.

And as soon as I win the lottery, I will be driving up to Ottawa to place an order for a bike. You do amazing work.

Cheers.
