Has anyone tried radial tires on a 1981CB 750F. Sizes are....Front - 110 90 19 Rear - 120 90 18
I have Avons on the 1100 but the 19" front on the 750 seems to be hard to find in a radial. Also what is the largest tires we can fit on the these old girls.. any tire recommendations would also be appreciated.
after doing some reading im thinking the front tire i currently have installed is NOT the stock size. Can someone please verify what the stock front size should be.. I'm thinking 100 90 19 i currently have a 110 90 19 installed

I found Metsler lazer tec's that will fit...
Ed

I was going to mention the Metzelers. Don't know if they have an 18" though.

I don't think they make radials in a 19". If they do I am interested

Continental Classic Attack, they offer a 100/90R19 57V.

I've been meaning to try a pair of them, maybe later this season.

Yes I saw that but the front tire is a 110 90. 19 . I would like to go wider if possible not narrower. But they do list a rear 110 85 19 I wonder if it can be placed on the front.

Pretty sure stock front is 100/90R19 as your update says. They don't offer the (stock) 130/80R18 rear, closest available size was 120/90R18. This would be 10mm skinnier but very close in overall height, about 4mm taller.

Give 'em a try, let us know what you think!

If you go wider than 110 in the front, it might go on but, the rim is too narrow for anything larger. The tire won't have the correct shape for optimal adhesion.

Additionally, the lower profile will result in your speedo reading higher than actual speed.
