Hi Guys,
A few months ago I got the 1983 CB1100F Bold'or, European model. The bike is a joy to ride, however my neck was a bit tired after some hours riding. I Wonder if there are different styles of handlebars available, mine is not one piece of bar for both hands, it is what I believe is most common, two bars each connected to the front fork tops.
I would not mind test out a pair, which is at least 1 inch (about 3 cm) higher raise. What are my options?

Honda fitted higher and more swept back bars to the European and Australian faired CB900F2 models. They are approximately an inch higher and an inch further back.
Because of the different diameter forks fitted to various models over the years you need to search for F2 bars from an 82 CB900F2C or an 83 CB900F2D which share the same 39mm fork diameter.
These will be a direct replacement and you don't need to change any of the cabling or wiring to fit them. |

The CBX 1000 prolink also uses 39mm forks with clip-ons |

Check out http://usedcbxparts.com/. Louis Mintrone has a huge stock of parts, some basically NOS. Very helpful guy. I'm sure you'll find 39mm CBX B Prolink handle bars with him that would have a little more rise and set back. |

The U.S. CBX Prolink bars are higher than the European ones. |

Wasn't there a thread on here recently that showed pictures of the different bar options? Can't seem to find it (or perhaps it never existed and its my memory going ...).
Regards,
Max |
