Looking for answers to a few question ..I have a 82 900f and want to know what are the original size of the pistons and what size the cylinders should be? The bike has less than 10 000 miles on it. Another question would be can you still buy valve kits for it (seals/stems/spacers) if so where would I look to get them ?

1. Welcome to the site.
2. The answers to more questions that you can imagine already have been answered, and reside in the Technical Documents forum. In there you'll find complete copies of the service manuals.
3. Valve seals made from Viton are available from Genesound (look in the For Sale forum for his thread).
4. Valves are still available, but shouldn't be needed unless you have one burned or bent.
5. Valve spacers? Don't know what that is, unless you mean Shims. These are also still available, either new, or many of us have extensive collections accumulated over the years.

Post specifics (after a bit of research), and you'll get the answers you need to get/keep your ride running.

Oh yeah, post pics of your bike, too. We love pics!

Hey neighbour. Welcome to the site.

Original pistons are 64.5mm. If you're smoking, get the valve seals from Gene. They're inexpensive and the best you can get.

Please post some pics so that I can stop you if I see you riding around and know who you are. The last guy I stopped to chat up thought I was a crazy person.

If you need anything, let me know. I'm always happy to help if I can.

Cheers.
