I can measure the legs/sliders for both of them tonight. Thanks!

Fork braces clamp to the tops of the moving part of the forks.

Early model CBX Twin Shock ('79 and '80) are 35mm/56mm

Late model CBX Pro Link ('81 and '82) are the same as the CB900F 39mm/62mm. This should open up potential sales on this size.

And as most everyone knows, the CB1100F won't need an aftermarket part as Honda made the forks with one.

When I had my fork brace made, they only needed two measurements. 1) diameter of the fork leg at the top (where the fork brace goes) 2) center to center of fork tubes.

I used two small adjustable squares to get center to center. Measure across and subtract one fork tube diameter(same as subtracting half twice..)

Center to center on my 1994 CBR600F2 forks is the same center to center on CB900F forks, if I remember correctly...

Once you get the diameter of the holes and the center-to-center measurement, people can measure their forks and see if one will work for them..

CBX 79 and 80 fork sliders are different.

I just measured my 79 750F (35mm tubes) and my 81 900F (39mm tubes).

79 750 sliders were 56mm (2.2") diameter, and 126.5mm (4.98") from inner edge to inner edge of sliders (top edge above fender).

81 900 sliders were 60.8-61mm (2.4"+/-) diameter (depending on which rib I measured), and 130.1mm (5.1") from inner edge to inner edge of sliders.

Not sure why there is 1 mm difference between what CBXtras reports and what I measure for the 900F slider diameter, but I remeasured after seeing his post. IDK.

Steve
