I have made this into it's own thread just so all the information is related to just the carbs group buy. So far I have the following on the list for a group buy.
Bone (31's), psychodad (33's), FCMike (31), Mr20v, toronto78, Lunterenholland (2 sets of 33's), casper1978, smoojee (29's), wulph (33's), and old1100 (33's).
I apologize if I missed your name, so if I did, please speak up and I'll add you to the list.
These come with velocity stacks. If you want K&N pod filters I can also arrange for this.
The prices in USD are as follows, PLUS shipping:
29mm: $700
31mm: $715
33mm: $740
35mm: $835 |

Hi Darren,
As much as I don't want to I will have to back out on the CR's......the funds just aren't there this spring.
But you have been fantastic to deal with on the Ohlin's side of this deal and I will come back around when the funds are in pocket!!
thanks again! |

Sign me up for a rack of 33s please. As for filters: how difficult is it to use the original filter box vs K&N pods vs some other arrangement? I'm leaning towards K&Ns. |

Thanks again for organising this!
Quick question regarding K&N pods. Roughly what price? Just asking as for me there is a double handling issue with the shipping to Australia. eBay has them for about $150 USD plus about $20 shipping to Australia.
Thanks again,
Chris |

Chris, that is pretty much "my cost" for the K&N's ..... |

Thanks for that!
To save inconveniencing anyone, I will pass on the pods, but still looking forward to purchasing the carbs!

I'm still in, I still have a few funds stashed away. I would like to know which style pods we're talking about and also how the carbs will be jetted. Someone had asked if you also supply a "jet kit" with a couple size jets either side of what comes with the carbs. I personally may NOT be interested in a kit, I have some leftovers from tuning the CR's on my 750F. Knowing what jets are installed in the carbs will help me decide on any needed extras.
Sorry for throwing a wrench in the game. |

Carbs will be jetted as they come from Sudco for the specified bike displacement and they assume that the bike has an aftermarket exhaust. I can supply a jet kit, but depending on where people are located it can become a crap shoot to get it dialed in perfectly. The jet kit only typically comes with 1 size up and down mains, however it is normally the slow jet that needs to be dialed in.
As for the filter kits .... they are the same oval shaped ones like seen on my Evolution. |

I can live without the kit. I think I went down one on the mains on my 750F and down several on the slow jet. I may need the bigger jets if I ever get the 900F cams installed.

Perfect, that is the style I wanted. Thanks for the pic, I can't get enough of that bike. |

Hello Petrat. Looking at the Australian to US dollar rate, and it is sitting better now than it has recently (I note USD to CAD is the same rate...) Was wondering how this is progressing, as I would prefer not to get tanked on the exchange rate if I can help it.
Is the order about to progress soon? If not, is there any chance of pre-paying now while the exchange rate is OK?
Also, slightly self interest driving this as I have two CB900s. One is not running and I suspect carbs. The CRs are for the running bike. I can take known good carbs off the runner, replace with the CRs and place them on the non-runner. The fewer carby changes with stock airbox and carbs the better |

I've had another back out but should still be able to proceed. I feel your pain with the dollar, believe me. I've been extremely busy but I promise I will get to this over the next couple of days. I've had a few others offline that have expressed their eagerness to proceed. Sorry for the delay. |

I HATE to be the bearer of bad news, but I just found out that SUDCO has increased the pricing on me on these carbs. So much so that MY dealer cost on the 33mm CR-S's have increased by $225 USD!!!!!
Their excuse is that Keihin hasn't increase their pricing in 20 years, and have decided to do so in a drastic way instead of small incremental percentage increases.
I cannot F'ING believe this. NOW this does not make the group buy an economical option. Therefore I am going to have to back away from this completely. SORRY for wasting everyones time |

That sucks! I had a similar thing happen to me after I found a reasonably priced valve guide for these bikes without a ton of work having to be done to it. Got everything set up and started shipping sets out to people just in time to have the manufacturer stop producing them! |
