Since the sale of my beloved CB1100F Evolution, I have bee approached by several enthusiasts to see if I had any interest in building them there own custom F's. The thought never before really crossed my mind to pursue this "hobby" as a business, but the demand and interest for what I do seems to be there and so "db Customs" is now a reality.

Within a month of making this decision, I have secured dealer licenses with several key players, those who I feel will contribute to my vision with products that make up each db Customs build. These are OHLINS suspension, Brembo brakes, Spiegler, Keihin Carbs, Marchesini Wheels, BST Wheels, Oz Wheels, and am also licensed with SUDCO and OPP Racing to provide every product in their offering. I am also working to partner with some additional key people who provide billet components and performance "race proven" exhaust systems. Of course these builds would not be complete without containing all the reliability mods (curved guide, tensioner, race chains, etc) that have been designed and offered by Vince and Hyde Racing, and these parts will be included with every CB-F that I build.

Feel free to check out my new website www.darrenbeggcustoms.com It will eventually have an e-Commerce section to purchase components. It is a work in progress so stay tuned. The theme is based on the colors used on my first build, the Evolution, as a tribute. I felt it was fitting.

My first customer build as db Customs is a "tribute" to the CB750-F superbike, with my own modern twist. This will have OHLINS RSU forks and rear shocks, brembo brakes, Marchesini wheels, billet AHM triples, performance exhaust with AHM canister, and so much more. I will start a thread here once I have accumulated enough pictures. Stay tuned!

I'm solid with supporting you Darren in anyway I can, and not because you are using my parts, but because you have shown a real aptitude for quality builds.

Well done! I will be supporting you by purchasing some CR carbs (as mentioned in your other thread).

Are you open to some suggestions? I am not sure what support there is for specific custom items for these F bikes, but I am sure will get some suggestions if you ask Wink

I know there is support for different levels of customisation. Some folks like to put on completely new fron and back ends etc, while others like the original look but with subtle performance upgrades. For example, I like the look of the original boomerang wheels, but would like more modern mbraking performance. If there was a kit that allowed me to put some better brakes on the boomies, I would be in. Maybe a custom bracket for the Brembos you already sell to fit to the existing forks, and a 320mm rotor that fits the hole pattern on the boomie wheels?

Anyway, just a suggestion you may like to gauge for interest. I am sure others will have some 'wish list' items too.

All the best with your new endeavour!

Metal Gear Works in Japan already make this piece of kit.

I think my focus for the time being will be on the full build packages where I have complete control over the look and outcome of my "product", offering a standard recipe of parts in each of my builds.

Hope it's a winner for you Darren. Going to stick with big red or move into other marques as well?

Darren, have you considered using these brakes for your Ohlins RSU build?

Can anyone identify what Brembos these are?? ..Specifically the calipers and Rotors. The hangers come with the fork. Can you get them?

Yes I can get all the pieces and am using Brembo Phantom calipers for my customers build. Those Brembos are 40mm pitch P4 30/34 calipers. The hangers come from Webike that are designed for the RSU forks for either 310mm or 320mm rotors.
