What an incredible loss, I am so sorry for family and friends.
$ sent. I don't get over here too often after the sale of my 1100F but we are all family. Larry and I have been horse trading for many years. He will be sorely missed.
Godspeed Larry.
Very Best,
Phil

Yeah, I was in danger of not making a ride, (first annual Midwest 1100F Get-together?) - he sent me a set of brake pads for free so I could make it.

Thanks everyone for your kindness and generosity, you are all just amazing.

I am thinking this will be delivered to Chris in person on 11/7 at the memorial service so while I am happy to forward help received after Sunday November 1st, it may not get included in the total.

Could someone supply a mailing address for Larry's residence??

I am sure several would also like to send a card expressing their condolences as well.

I know I WOULD LIKE TO.

Thank you

Ricardo

Yes Ricardo....I saved a box Larry sent me a month ago with the sprocket carrier and Cush drive for the 887 and it has a return address on it. I can forward it tonight when I get home.

I believe this to be correct, based on sending Larry some parts earlier this year:

4728 Leesburg Road
Fort Wayne, IN 46808

Not sure if Chris uses his last name though.

Bump, will be shutting down tonight so any stragglers, now is the time to step up.

Thanks everyone, I think we are now north of $3500 on this.

Wow that's great Rick! Question: How did you end up with such an odd number for the final amount?

Some donations were in AUD and GBP so the odd amounts resulted from conversion to USD.

Chris Voors here, (Larry's wife).
I am AWED by your comments & your generosity. WOW!
Larry was declared (that's what they say in the medical profession)
at 11:26 AM on 10/28. (Actually he was 'declared the previous day
so he was 'declared' twice'). Soooo characteristic of Larry.

You all know that he was a generous guy. He donated his kidneys, pancreas,
corneas, bones & tissues. (He is much lighter now). Because of the craniotomy
Kim (the only person he would let touch his hair) has a big challenge. Image Larry
w. just hair on one side of his head.

Serivices will be Sat 11/7 @ around 1PM at our home. (No stuffy funeral homes for him).
You are all invited. He will arrive in a 1800 hearse driven by a motorcycle & followed by
many friends on bikes. I'll share your comments at the service. He'll stay here at home
the night so that I can be with him just a little longer.

Thanks to all of you for your friendship & good wishes.

Blessings & love,
Chris & Larry

Yep. Sure sounds like Larry. Total generosity to the very end and beyond.
He will be missed. God bless you both.

Spoke to Chris last night, she invited me to ride one of Larry's bikes to a local "watering hole" where we'll have a libation in his honor, then back to the house, and she asked if I'd read some of our stories from the site. A bittersweet way to meet her, for sure, but I told her I'd be honored...

God, I'd love to. Stuck in the mud though.

I've been out of work for four weeks and my middle son has commandeered my F250. I've been on one of my bikes for three weeks (when I was home). Too late in the season for me to consider that ride and I have to go fix my Accord with a friend Saturday.

Now I'm trying to catch up on my bills and save money. My new job is great BTW.

Smile

Please tip one for me in honor of Larry.

I was looking at the gold Boomies I got from Larry tonight thinking I need to step up the pace on the build to get them on the bike faster. Then I thought....no, Larry would have said not to rush it or I might over look something....his help is already having an impact as it always did....they will go on when it's ready for them to go on....do it right or don't bother doing it.....

I'm going. Rick, when are you getting there and when is the toast? I can go up anytime for the next few days (took some vac time). Kinda bittersweet. Looking forward to meeting some of you but the circumstances suck.

Chris is looking for people to start showing up between noon and 1300. She's expecting a bunch of folks. Larry will be there at the house, for one more night with her. She said she's going to sleep on a cot next to him. I almost lost it...

Dam. That's rough!

I'll take off Sat. morning then. Supposed to be pretty chilly so I'm driving up.
