Getting pretty excited to finally meet TheGoosekat/Angus and then take the journey to Belgium. I leave in 12 days and YES I'm counting. 16 days of nothing but motorcycles. Can you say Spoiled. LOL
The Goose is letting me ride his really nice bikes on the track day at Spa. I have a GoPro for the front and the back of the bike as I may never be there again so I want to get it on video. I'll do my best to post up the Youtube link when I get back.
I'm hoping to meet as many F'ers as possible on the journey so if your at Spa? Please hunt down Angus as I'll be his pit tootsie while we are there.
See you at the races, Jim |

Yes I will be there, bike is flying out later this week and our team is leaving on Sunday 28th.
Bike is all ready and has the latest software updates. RPM limits have been raised as well as a whole bunch of "other" stuff. If this package doesn't perform then nothing will.
Jim, I'm looking forward to catching up, meeting Angus and showing you our "toy". I'm sure you'll like it and the sound it makes LOL. I'm also looking forward to meeting everyone else I've communicated with from the U.S. England and Europe. Please make yourself known and I'll do the same.
Myself and my team are going for no other reason than to experience the people and a place with serious history and to enjoy ourselves and hope that everyone there is doing it for the same reasons.

This made me laugh - a measure of how far things have come since these were new, and how much tailoring can be done without welding and grinding! |

Should be one of the best trips EVER.
A couple years ago I would not have thought that this trip would be possible. Motorcycles are starting to pay off for me. Yes I'm excited.
Can't wait to meet any and all.
Keep it in a wheelie, Jim |

See you there Jim… it will be good to put some faces to names!
And drool over the Torbay Hotrod of course…
I'll bring a soft, clean cloth to wipe it off

It's going to be really cool meeting you guys. The bikes might even be worthy of drooling over. |

Captain I'd be interested to know which events you are competing in to keep an eye on results. Good luck to all the F's and hope all goes well. |

We have a couple of races in the CSBK series. This is a German series for classic Superbikes that is split into 3 classes depending on the degree of modification/s. "Vintage", "AMA Legends" and "Open Extreme". We would qualify for "Vintage" as we are almost period correct except for our 17" wheels and slicks so we have been bumped up into "AMA Legends". "Open Extreme" is all out and almost unlimited as it appears that later model engines, USD forks, big rims and unlimited engine capacity are allowed and so I would like to go head to head with them, but I'm not sure if these are all run concurrently or are separate races but whatever it is, we intend to give it a shot and do the best we can.
The two races at Spa are just a round of their series (CSBK) covering a number of events and tracks around Europe, but they have been very welcoming and happy to allow us to enter even though we are not doing the whole series so it will be interesting how our equipment compares to the Europeans.
If we don't try we will never know.

Best of luck with the racing Brent… and you're going to have to get used to being the centre of attention with a drooling gaggle of F'ers for the weekend.

Don't know why as there seems to be quite a lot of trick F's over there.
Ours is just another way of building them I would imagine.

Leaving in 5 hrs and not ready. I guess the jobs will just have to wait.
I have two bike cameras but I don't think Angus will allow me to mount them on the bike and I don't do them on the helmet anymore. We will see maybe I can convince him?
Cya in 16 days. |

I'm now on my way and waiting for the next leg. The bike is currently in the air and about to arrive in Belgium.
Everything is going to plan and on schedule And our first look at the event is the Prelimary Track Day on Thursday before the event opens. Gives us a chance to look at gearing and A/F ratio and if we are lucky, tyre temp, pressure and compound........going to be interesting.
