Hahaha....right here friends.
Thanks for thinking of me.
Been busy as a three pecker Billy Goat as usual.
I was transferred once again at work to Test Engineer and am
completley immersed in updating software and hardware for the valve test equipment.
It is my baby and my ass if I fail.
My next door neighbor DeLyn finally bought the CNC router....brand new!
I have been playing with the software a bit and it should be a couple of weeks before it is online.
This wasn't as big as I originally thought....his wife put the stymie on huge aspirations of a big shop
for the time being.
We are looking at places still....I am going to help with setup and rent as I will put my carb shop in there as well. I plan on buying all of the equipment I need to do thorough restorations.
Ol' Ricardo turned me on to a great guy here that has a very clean 900F that has been sitting.
I am doing the full service on the carbs now and plan to get the whole bike for install, sync and lash in a month
or so.
Trying to finish my Hot Rod stuff as I will be moving before the end of the year.
Have to put some signals on the CBX and I plan on running it around The Three Sisters before it gets hot.
That is my story for the meantime....lots of Jams and plenty of Heineken.

Here are some pics.....pretty excited about this as it is a BRAND NEW unit......it has a vacuum table and an 11hp 220 3 phase motor.
Mind you this was two hours after it was dropped off last Thursday.
This was 54K delivered for those inquiring minds.
I will have plenty to do when it warms up here soon.......
DeLyn (my neighbor/friend) is going to make some suspension pieces for automotive and gearbox stuff for his own mid engine trandaxles that he produces. I have him almost talked into making some of my CBX ProCom brackets and Degree Wheels as a start...because they are flat and easy to program for a dry run on tooling, speed, oiling, etc......
Seeing how it is right next door......looks like I am going to have to stock his fridge!
Stay Tuned!

My sign and pinstripe guy "Wild Bill" has one of those routers. Can work with material up to 4" thick.
It's the nuts! |

DeLyn is making motor plates for LS-1 Chevrolet applications as well as control arms and mounts for Rear Engine exotic cars.
He has his own gearbox design.....look here: https://griffingearboxes.com/
I am trying to talk him into my simple shit first. I have designs laid out for CBX ProCom adapter brackets and a
crank mounted degree wheel for the X as well.
These would be simple, flat parts to get our teething in.
Our original plan was to buy two huge machines to make Medium Duty truck differential parts that are currently being outsourced from his place of employment. Wifeys world put the kabosh on that plan.
J.R.- Yes it is the shit! Although this is a big compromise right now (He wanted a full on Harco wet machine)....it will allow us to make
several different things. And it makes Cabinet doors! I figured 4-5" would be what it could do. The motor is up to it. This also if you look close has a lathe attachment along the side.....
We both have to keep working right now......but this is what will eat up my spare time in the coming months.
DeLyn was very disappointed at one point and I called him out on it last year as I had aspirations of chipping in and getting a bigger deal going but we worked it out over some Coors and in hindsight this "baby step" is better for all of us.
We are both well educated dudes and we have the same goals.......
I also could make side covers like Colin....or ????????
All I have to do is draw it.
What kind of things would you guys like to see made?
This is going to happen now.....and I am digging it

That is a good one....lot of material to chip away.
I saw one once not long ago made of billet and it was like $400.
The banded deal might win out on that economically.
Great suggestion.....nothing is without consideration.

Hard to find a good used clutch basket without notchey fingers. Banding won't help that. |

True......was just thinking of the strength of a captured unit......
Lot of machining in the slots!
A basket is more true CNC wet lathe kinda of stuff.

Love to....but I stole the damn brake lines off of it for Erocks CBX before I shipped to Chicago and have not replaced them
Have rear but no front.
Be careful.....they are expecting it to rain this weekend....and it has been pretty wet the last week.
Wet weather here is like snow up north to the natives.....no joke. They literally get freaked and freeze up very easy.
The road should have decent traction though as it has been raining for a while.......
Thank You for the invite.....some other time.
If you are here....do the Three Sisters.....best ride in the south.

The 3 sisters are where we are headed, try and get up there a couple of times a year.
I was hoping you were free and the CBX could come add some class to the group.
Hopefully the weather will cooperate. |

God...I wish....will you be back this year?
I just spent big cash on the carbs too...and it runs perfect.

This is true with the 1100 clutches that's why I prefer to use 750 clutches in my rebuilds. I rarely find one with 'notchey' fingers since they don't have the HP to really tear up the clutch. The larger gear width on the 1100 doesn't add anything to the clutch (except for more weight) since the weak point is in the fingers. I don't think that I have ever seen or read about a clutch gear failure. Honda seems to have made the same mistake with the 1100 clutch as with they have with the 1100 crankshaft and the 1100 starter clutch. |

Not so much foe me but how about some of the exotic HRC covers? (Aluminum if more practical than magnesium?) Dry clutch conversions? |

+1 An HRC cover for the right side of the engine (charging side) would be cool
