Crazy weather.
On Tuesday with the wall of snow coming off the lake, the north side of the city got 6".
A mile south, the bottom half of the city got up to 48".

Don't think this event was attributed to Global warming, but in general warm air does carry more moisture and can lead to increased precipitation.

And we all know, one localized cold day somewhere or an isolated snow event does nothing to discredit what is an accepted truth for 98% of the worlds climate scientists...

I took the Norms statement as a joke, not a serious statement that deserves a knowing "wink" ...

Global cooling alright. Bitter cold here today too. At least the rain, which we sorely need , is taking a break so i can bundle up and do the same for the dogs when I take them out for a walk later on. Yesterday's walk was not to the girls liking but they love getting dried off with a warm fluffy towel when we get back home.

Forecast for my place today, Partly Cloudy 58° 48°

Be safe though you guy back there and don't park your car at the curb.

has nothing to do with the fact that the winds coming on shore in buffalo have traveled the entire lenght of lake erie. Same winds are dumping massive amounts of snow on the west coast of michigan. Once the lakes freeze the snow will drop off

You can but you wouldn't like it here. It only snows for about a month over winter and only a few inches on the mountains where the ski resorts are. The rest of the year its too bloody hot.

Snowed here once about 20/25 years ago and the snow lasted a good half hour on the ground. I opened the door, dog raced out and chased a cat that was sheltering at the corner of the house, cat went straight into the swimming pool, last seen getting out of the pool at the other end and scrambling over the back fence. Often wondered if it survived
