New custom made 20mm rear axle long enough to span the TL's width, new pivot bolt spacer's/bushings, modified axle adjuster blocks with axle reducer bushings, shock mount shouldered bushings, and a new axle nut but it's not here yet.

Are you making axles now? I'd like to have one made for my Metamachex. I have the original but threads on it and nut are not trustworthy. If someone else is making them, can you share the contact?
Also curious in the price..

I've misplaced the axle. I think it's in one of my boxes of stuff. I'll have to dig it out to get the length. It has a hex head. Here's a pic of it next to a 1100F axle. Thanks..

I worked on the same arm a couple months ago.
The head used an Allen head if I remember right?

I will need the length from the head to the start of the threads and the length of the threads. Also the OD of the head. I don't want to guess and make a paper weight. I already have a bin full of whoops start over and one is a GSXR steering stem that I still don't know how I will correct. I think it's time to start making steering stems and they will be made from aluminum. I hate steel.

Well, I looked through all my boxes of parts in the shop and couldn't find the axle. I came in the house and mysteriously, my brain started working. I moved two bags of shop rags here in my back office and the axle was under them... I took pics and will email to you..

Hog, did your axle have some form of pin in there, before each alloy 'spinner'. I can't think of the best way to describe it?!

If so, how did you get it out?

I'm wondering if you mean 'keyed'? Both sides were keyed. I'm not sure why, it's the only axle I have seen that was keyed either on one or both sides.. I can take/post more pictures if you have more questions/concerns.. The outside 'spinner' on both sides were keyed too..

Galen the arm I worked on just like yours did not have the keys but I can do that for you if needed?

I go pick up a bunch of axles this week and think that my TL axles will work for you?

I don't see any reason for them being keyed. I think it'll be fine with out it.

With it keyed can't you use the bolt head to turn for chain adjustment ?

This makes sense. If I remember correctly? The one I did for Erock was a bitch to adjust evenly. I would say the key is key.

Thats what I meant mate, just couldn't for the life of me think how to explain it.

I'm thinking they are there for a reason though… as Luckysox said, it allows you to adjust by loosening off the clamp bolts that hold the spinners secure and simply turning the axle doesn't it? Orr have I got that wrong?

You are correct Andy. Plus it adjusts both side at the same time. I should have something for this very soon.

Yes my friend had one on his Z1000R I rebuilt for him a few years back, does make adjustment easy, just loosen the 2 allen screws and turn the nut

My Cal Fab axle isn't keyed and it's really easy to adjust the chain. I stick the largest allen wrench in the hole directly across from the axle, stick a screw driver in between them and rotate it around. It went around and adjusted the chain easier than I thought it would. I was thinking I would just use the allen head and axle head and do the same thing on this swing arm.

But, I do understand your explanation and see how it would work that way..

Hi Galen,

I went and got my axles and unfortunately they are 13.25" long. So they won't work for your arm. When I ordered 20 of the front axles It was half the price of the 6 rears that I just ordered. A one of would be close around 100.00 I bet. If your game? I'll see about getting you one done.

Or you may get lucky. I just got a brand new lathe chuck that isn't sprung like my old one. So I may be able to make axles now without getting cutter chatter? I will give it a try asap and see if I can help you out?
