Here is my new (to me) 07 Aprilia Tuono R. I love my F bike, but this thing is a beast!

Very nice and I like the upright seating position. Have you been on any long rides yet? I'm curious how comfortable it is after a couple hours.

Congrats and enjoy!

Tom

I've owned my '07 Tuono for 7 years now. Same gloss silver, black, and grey as yours. Leo Vince ti slip-ons, Map 2, AFE air filter, adjustable pegs, and dark tint Puig windscreen. Aprilias are very under rated bikes in the US with maybe one knowledgeable dealer in the country- AF1 Racing in Texas. Enjoy your new ride.

Tom,

I rode out to little Switzerland from Charlotte, NC yesterday. Did 350 miles or so (175 miles of twisties) . Seating position is very much like my 1100F with sport kit rear sets and a dished seat (2 inches lower than OEM). The main difference is that you sit a very noticeable amount higher on the bike. You know, like on a modern superbike. Accept there is almost zero pressure on your wrists due to handlebars instead of clipons, and you don't have to bend your neck to look forward at the road. Really comfortable ride with a bunch of room to move around on the bike. WAY less harsh of a seating position than the 900RR I had in my late 20s.

For reference, I'm about 5'9" tall and I'm 44 years old.

Hope that helps ya. Lastly, the thing is a TORQUE monster. Totally different than an inline four.

Matt

Congrats on your new bike,
The good thing about the Tuono is that you'll never wear the front tire. Smile
