I bought a Leatherman classic super tool about 10 years ago. I was using it recently to pull a pin out of a hard drive and broke the tip off one of the plier heads. I went online and saw that the tool had a 25 year warranty, so I filled out the form and shipped off my broken tool hoping they could replace the broken head or grind down what was left so it would work.

Less than two weeks later I received a brand new replacement Super Tool 300 that has newer features like replaceable wire cutter blades and push button blade lock releases. It even came with a new carry pouch. I cannot speak highly enough about the Leatherman tool quality and now their customer service has proven itself to be just as good.

I prefer to support American companies that make great products, even if a similar item can be bought cheaper elsewhere. Let me tell ya, I plan to go buy a couple more tools now JUST to support them for being such a great company. If you don't already have a multi-tool in your home, car or RV tool kit (or even if you do), then you should go out and buy a Leatherman brand multi-tool. I don't think you could find a better product and company out there.

Jose

I snapped a screw driver tip off mine, but I use it so much I haven't sent it in yet. Good company for sure, and much better tool than the Gerber multi tool I think.

I picked mine up in the road. Olive drab / Army issued. (I am near FT Drum) I keep it in the truck and it has come in handy several times......not sure of the brand, I will have to look but the Army always buys the best stuff.

Leatherman is made in Portland OR. Been on a tour of the factory when I took in my knife for repair and I got a brand new one no questions asked.

I really wanted my old one because I had it wore in perfect as far as action goes but a new tool is always nice.

Peace, Jim
