I would be dead in a week, I need to pay attention, I go to fast in certain situations to be distracted.

Toddk

p.s. a lot of the rest of you would be dead too!

I agree Todd, my full attention needs to be on: how the bike is running, watching out for cagers, scanning road conditions, and keeping an eye open for the POLICE!!!

I wouldn't use it for music or telephone. I would use it for GPS and rear view. But I do want one - if money isn't an option. Something tells me this will be a very expensive helmet.

I believe you can if the detector has bluetooth.

This gal got her case thrown out. not becuase she was wrong for wearing it while driving, but becuse the law has not caught up to the technology.
I would bet that they will be banned before they break even..

I by far prefer to remain focused on the road when riding. I monitor the bike mainly by sound. I don't listen to music when riding, just the motor and other sounds it makes.

One can pretty much ride without gauges by just listening to the bike. Maybe not race, but certainly ride safely.

Most people can't walk and chew gum without practice. And the consequences for multitasking badly when operating a car or bike are much worse that a stubbed toe or bumping into a display with a shopping cart..

I think allowing Google Glass to legally be used while driving would be a huge mistake. Certain HUDs that have only limited driving related displays on them might be reasonable.

I always think of the severity of distraction that's possible while driving or riding while using such a think. Lets say you're driving a car (or riding a bike) on a mountain twisty road wearing a HUD, and someone calls you or texts you during the ride and tells you that your child was just killed (heaven forbid) or some other devastating news. Probably almost a certain setup for a bad accident.

On the other hand, a heads up shift light, gear indicator, tach, or speedo might be beneficial, but it shouldn't require too much attention from driving to use it.

Ya, back when this was first posted, they had a button saying they were looking for Beta testers.
So I filled out their small survey, (what types of bikes you ride, where you are, and why you wanted to be a tester) and submitted it for review.
I got a email from them a few days ago telling me that I had made the short list.
Should be interesting IF I actualy get to test one. (and keep it hopefully..Very Happy )
